Comment: This book has already been well loved by someone else and that love shows. It MIGHT have highlighting, underlining, be missing a dust jacket, or SLIGHT water damage, but over-all itâ€TMs still a good book at a great price! About the Author

More About the Author

Kim Karr lives in Florida with her husband and four kids. She's always had a love for reading books and writing. Being an English major in college, she wanted to teach at the college level but that was not to be. She went on to receive an MBA and became a project manager until quitting to raise her family. Kim currently works part-time with her husband and recently decided to embrace one of her biggest passions--writing.

Kim wears a lot of hats! Writer, book-lover, wife, soccer-mom, taxi driver, and the all around go-to person of her family. However, she always finds time to read. One of her favorite family outings was taking her kids when they were little to the bookstore or the library. Today, Kim's oldest child is seventeen and no longer goes with her on these, now rare and infrequent, outings. She finds that she doesn't need to go on them anymore because she has the greatest device ever invented--a Kindle.

Kim likes to believe in soul mates, kindred spirits, true friends, and Happily-Ever-Afters. She loves to drink champagne, listen to music, and hopes to always stay young at heart.

For a while now it has been pretty clear that Ben and Bell would be getting together. In Frayed Kim Karr finally explores the potential of this reunion. Usually you want the main characters in a story to have as smooth sailing as possible and any hiccup in the happily ever after can be anxiety inducing and heart breaking. In this case, after the couple's first encounter, I was glad that there were some bumps in the road, that things didn't neatly fall into place for them, and that there was some deliberation as to whether to really pursue something. Pairing Ben and Bell seems like an uphill battle for the author from the start, but the way that these two dealt with a possible relationship, taking into account not just their feelings but their loved ones' as well, and the reality of the outcome of the first encounter rounded things out and helped Ben and Bell's story come together in a fitting and satisfying way.

I wasn't always rooting for Ben and Bell to get together. It's hard to champion a relationship when it starts under some pretty unsavory circumstances, but Kim Karr does a good job of drawing you in to the here and now. It's much easier to accept Ben and Bell knowing that Dahlia has moved on and is far happier in the end and after a while it becomes easier to see these two as any other couple with a bit of a past and a powerful connection. As unlikely as it seemed to begin with, I found I was surprisingly glad they got a second chance after all.

Kim Karr uses the same magic that made us fall fast and hard for River and Dahlia to transform any previous feelings of distaste or loathing for Ben and Bell into actual compassion and concern for them and their future. Do I really love either of these characters?

I am sad that this series is over. This story was not what I thought it would be. Ben and Bell have a history that was not an easy one. I knew from the start that these two were supposed to be together. I had my times when reading Connected and Torn that I wanted Dahila and Been to work it out. I know, I know that was never supposed to be. There was now way that could happen. I blame Kim's mad writing skills. She knows how to just write these words that really truly make you feel all the emotions that her characters go through.

We all know from the other books that Ben slept with Bell when he was in college, cheated on Dahlia. But when you look at fate, how strange is it that they are all still intertwined in each others lives? This was how there HEA's were supposed to be. I can not see it any other way. This brings everything full circle in a unconventional way.

Ben and Bell let me just say that getting to their happy place was not easy. The moment that Ben learns what happened all those years ago was so real that I was not sure how they would move on from it. While Ben has always thought about himself, there were moment's that he put others first. Yet he was still selfish. I still think that it was just who he was. He never did it on purpose.

Bell that girl has been through so much and I am so glad that we got to know her better. She has been an active charter in all the books and I wanted her story. Bell is a good person, always seeing the good in others even when they don't deserve it. But that is what brought her to Ben so I guess that it worked out.

I just want to say that I know this book is not for everyone but I really think that it is worth giving it a try. I was not disappointed with how it turned out.

It took one steamy night. It was hot. It was passionate. It was sinful. It wasn’t supposed to happened. But it was one night neither of them could forget. It was a night that shifted their worlds off its axis, everything wasn’t the same again.

Ben Covington – I couldn’t resist a man who is good in words. I have read his story in Blurred, and I am eager for him to find his happy ending. So right after I was one with the novella, I immediately went for the next one.

Now, their paths had once again crossed, Ben was a free man, but Bell Wilde has still a lot on her plate. Just like Ben, her life is just starting. Failure and distractions were not on her options. To avoid any complications, she opted to have a relationship based on sex. Any other man would have dived into the opportunity, it surprised Ben, but what the heck, at least it was something.

At first, it was supposedly for a night, but the sexual chemistry was definitely off the charts, and everything was just as wonderful as before. Sparks were overwhelming, and both of them can’t help themselves for coming back for more. Perhaps, both of them are given this second chance – to find each other, or to fall in love.

But Bell – she has some secrets she needed to divulge first. Secrets that might shake the foundation of their newly found stability…

Totally HOT. HOT. HOT.

The steamy scenes were just sizzling, and I my kindle is on fire. OMG I want Ben Covington for myself!

He might have come from a bad place in his past, but he was ready to give his life another shot. He just won an award for Journalism, and seeing the red head that had occupied most of his dreams was an added bonus. But she was more hesitant that he originally thought.
