Not a freak to get "Freak Like Me",
By Michal (Cape Towm, RSA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Freak Like Me (Audio CD)
The funkiest song the Sugababes ever made has become a cool single. Even though I am not a fan of buying singles, this one is really a catch. "Freak Like Me" makes a perfect partner as a single to the album, from which it originated from, "Angels With Dirty Faces". Not only does it have the original and "We Don't Give A Damn Mix" of "Freak Like Me", it also has a great enhanced section which includes: the video, bio, lyrics to "Freak Like Me" and a wallpaper. The single also contains "Breathe Easy" a beautiful love song that fills you with warmth. "Breathe Easy" is different version to "Breathe Easy;Acoustic Jam" on the album. I would advise getting this single especially if your 'Babes fan. The Stand out track: "Freak Like Me (We Don't Give A Damn Mix)" as it is different to the album version and funkier too. This single belongs in your collection!

after releasing their new single "freak like me", the babes enchant us with yet other versions of the #1 song. "breathe easy" has a fine, soft melody that keeps you flying in your imagination. "freak like me" really rocks even in different versions! if possible, i would rate this CD 10 STARS!!

This is an amazing song! The first time I heard it I was kind of taken back because I had never heard anything like it!Track 1-Freak like me:Great song. Its fun and wicked. I liked the remix at first the most but this on grew on me.(5/5) Track 2-Freak like me we don't give a damn remix:This ones really fun and I heard this version first. You can't help but rock out to it.(5/5) Track 3-Breathe easy:This song has a ok melody but it's like of boring(4/5) The video is pretty trippy. It's tight. I would sooo recomend this to anyone who likes to rock out and be a freak!

Another example of good music from a great group,

The Sugababes established themselves a year (and a half) ago as the girl band that was not only cool to like but the only one with actual quality and substance. Although their lineup has changed slightly (a shame, cause they seemed so perfect together) this single indicates they their quality has not changed (if anything it has improved to allow them the commercial success that they so much deserve). "Freak Like Me" takes two classics of pop music (Gary Numan's "Are Friends Electric" and Adina Howard's "Freak Like Me") and creates a dance single that can be played over and over without growing tired of it. Whether or not they can achieve the same level of success in the US is rather questionable; the Sugababes don't fall into any of the music categories that rule the airwaves (they are better than that), but maybe they could charm a few listeners and prove that music has no colour and knows no boundaries. The recommended mixes are the dancehall and the "we don't give a damn" mix, but they're all excellent. File this one as the sexy, feel-good single of 2002's spring-summer period.

Change of line-up, but they're better than ever.,

This single started as a bootleg in London's clubs of Gary Numan's "Are Friends Electric" and Adina Howard's "Freak Like Me", but it was the Sugababes who skillfully made this a commercial hit. Heidi's vocals are a great addition to the group and the trio's chemistry is sizzling. This is a fantastic, catchy electro-pop track which should hopefully continue the success of the group.

This is really the only Sugababes song I like. It just hooked me straight away. I like the new member, Heidi. She's so pretty! This song is a huge hit in the UK. it reached #1. Rundown: 1. Freak Like Me (Radio Edit) 2. Freak Like Me (We Don't Give A Damn Mix) 3. Breathe Easy The video is very over-the-top. Watch it if you like R&B and rock music. Buy this. It might be the only decent Sugababes song ever.
