I agree with the comments of others. It's actually become more a of conversation starter than a cooking timer.

Here's a video of what will happen when time runs out. Plays the selected song for 30 seconds. Songs vary randomly each run. The $20 is for scale (not included) :)

I do absolutely love this timer, and I would recommend that you get one. However, I had to give it 4 stars instead of 5 because it isn't practical enough to use as your one-and-only kitchen timer.

1. It can only time up to 99 minutes.

2. After playing the cute song it turns off. So if you had something in the oven and didn't get around to taking it out during the 30 seconds or so that the song was playing, there would be no further reminder for you.

I love this timer. I wanted a timer, to help my kids pick up. Something fun to get them interested & they have to try to beat the timer. This timer is perfect! So fun & they can't wait to hear the song after they cleaned up the playroom!

We got this a month or so ago and the whole family loves it. We use it several times a day. Everyone has to stop and watch it and hum along with the tunes. Highly recommended.

This is a very good and functional kitchen timer. It is loud enough to alert me in other parts of the house. I just love how cute this timer is. The classic look and the songs are just really fun. I plan on getting more as gifts for friends.

I love, love, love this timer! The three retro game-show inspired jingles are so catchy and happy, and the spinning, whirling blender mesmerizes my best friend's 9 month old baby girl with delight. This little product brings such joy to my kitchen that I cannot recommend it emphatically enough.

The Music is Great.

The only flaw is the angle of the Time. It makes it harder to see.

But other than that, it is the best timer.

This timer's music is so cheerful, that my girls (9, 7, 6 and 2) never complain when it signals time to get out of the tub, or when it tells them it's time to clean up their play-doh and get ready for bed. Instead of the whines we used to get, we get giggles and direct obedience! Even my 18 & 17 year old think it's cool, and my 14 month old finds it delightful. It's a hit with the entire family, especially me!
