A nice snap shot view of Fred Thompson, starting with his early child hood, up to the present. I was fascinated by his first movie roll, him self in the movie Marie. Its significant, as its the true story of Thompson defending a Tennesse government offical who was legally hounded by the State Democrat machine under the governor. Thompson faced the machine for an individual, with little in the way of personal or financial gain. To me, it says a lot about the personal qualities of Thompson, that I admire in him.

The content of this book is good, a quick view of an interesting candidate. I cannot say I disliked the content.

However, the editing is an atrocity. It has to be a little embarrassing for Fred to have this book - which appears to have been written and edited by the same third grader - circulating as a prominent view of his political history.
The author is not exactly talented in his style, which is repetitious to the point of ridiculousness.

Good stories, good background, but without personal research, this book is pretty useless.

This book is one you cannot put down. It takes you on the journey of Fred Thompson's life and accomplishments, and even tells about heartbreak and personal losses. It is SUPERBLY written and the photo gallery was amazing. Fred Thompson is a man men would like to be, and women would like to be with.
