For those of you who have had the pleasure of visiting Paris and the delight of the taking the wonderful tour through its sewage system, these man hole covers are a clever reminder of Paris. 1.0 out of 5 stars Really bad packaging
This is a great-looking mat, nice and thick. Unfortunately, I had to send it right back for a refund. They sent it folded in half and it split right down the middle. I have noticed reviews of other mats that said the same thing. It ought to occur to these companies that this is not a good way to ship such items!

For those of you who have had the pleasure of visiting Paris and the delight of the taking the wonderful tour through its sewage system, these man hole covers are a clever reminder of Paris. My personal manhole cover came well packaged and flat, so I think Amazon fixed any shipping problem of folding (as per another reviewer). The overwhelming smell as mentioned on other manhole cover review was not present with mine, although if I do press my nose to the mat it does have a faint but still slight tire/rubber smell. However let's not forget that these are manufactured from recycled tires. The mat feels sturdy, has a good weight if you want to use it outdoor as a foot wipe and the rubber is waterproof. We think it is to nice to leave outside and are using it indoors on our wood floors. We put it under our wood water bottle stand to catch the occasional drips and spills to prevent damage to wood floors . Over all I think the mat is a humorous treat for any Francophone or Parisian fan and I happily give it five stars.

This mat is great. It's so unique that everyone comments on it. I've found that a Bissell Little Green works best to clean it. I believe the care instructions said that you can spray it off with a garden hose, but that didn't seem to work very well.
