This fork & spoon set is so cool! I purchased it a little over 2 years ago for my 2 year old son when he was learning to use a "real" spoon & fork, not those plastic toddler ones. They worked out perfect for him because the spoon & fork mouth end is sized just right for little mouths, and the fork isn't too sharp, yet will poke food to pick up! The handles are silicone-like so they don't slip out of hands no matter how messy (imagine holding a spoon dipped in spaghetti sauce, it's not easy...but these make it easy thanks to the silicone handles!). As I stated, we have owned these for over 2 years and despite a few bite marks on the tails, they still look new! Some other reviewer stated they rusted in their dishwasher, but that hasn't happened to me at all (and our set has been through hundreds of dishwasher loads!). They are made extremely well...I see us getting many more years of use out of them...unlike other toddler silicone style spoons, I don't worry about the handle coming off of these. As you see in the picture, they have legs on them that serve 2 purposes, 1 being it keeps the mouth part of the utensil off of the table when set down, it also helps your little one learn the correct placement to hold the fork/spoon when eating as the legs kind of guide their hand into the right place and don't allow them to hold it any other way without it being really awkward. They fit my hands as well, but are a bit small for my husband to hold...so these are good for parent feedings if you want a comfortable spoon for an adult hand. All in all, I love this set and don't regret the purchase one bit!! Well made, helps kids learn to use a utensil correctly, and they are fun!!

My son received this fork and spoon set for his second birthday and they were his absolute favorite utensils ever! They are NOT dishwasher-safe and should be hand-washed; in the 2.5 years we've had them, they have remained in excellent condition (and we have to wash them daily because my son requests them every night at dinner!). A great gift for the budding archaeologist in your life!

We've had these dinnersaurs for 3 years now and will be getting another set soon for our infant (since his brother won't share his!). I have to say that 1) we've thrown these in the dishwasher about a hundred times, and never had an issue - they're still in great condition; and 2) the whole point of these is not just that they're cute, but that their design makes it impossible for kids to use them improperly, so by using these utensils, they learn an appropriate grip for control over their fork and spoon. My son's preschool teacher, at a recent conference, remarked to me that his fine motor skills at the lunch table are much better than other children his age, and that he doesn't have the same difficulty with controlling utensils as his peers. We figured out pretty quickly that the dinnersaurs have a lot to do with his confidence and neatness in this area! The best part is that on nights when he doesn't use the dinnersaurs, he is now able to make the switch to a good grip and perfect control of any utensils he is given. These things are genius!

I am not sure if it is in the design, but the fork and spoon really helps my 1 1/2 year old hold the fork and spoon the correct side up. With other sets she is usually using them upside down.
A very fun set.
Only drawback is that the front "legs" sometimes limit how deep the spoon or fork can be inserted into such food items like yogurt cups.
We bought 2 sets, my 3 1/2 year old has zero interest in them, but my 1 1/2 year old uses every day.

They seemed to be cute but my kids didn't like them. The feet on the handle made it difficult to hold and they rusted in the dishwasher. I had to throw them out after a couple of months.

Cute but tends to fall off the plate frequently. My 2 1/2 y/o loved it and it can be a great distraction & good for role playing to trick him into eating.

My son loves animals so I got these so he would stop complaining about the nonanimal forks we have. I just wish the fork curved a little to help keep food on better like a normal fork. It is straight.

2 year old grandson loves them...fork is a little too straight but it is flexible so you can bend to whatever your comfort level is
