5.0 out of 5 stars Plugs the sink January 20, 2011

I had a hard time finding a plug for our sink this works great. It is a little harder to drain the water but it is do-able.

Needed a new sink strainer and, having worked with civil engineers most of my life, thought this was kind of neat. It does look quite good, and it's very well constructed. When you turn the manhole top it does allow drainage -- but not complete drainage. As noted, it's got some height (or depth) to it, so there's always going to be a lip of water that doesn't drain out of the sink unless you move it out of the way. You might already realize this, but I thought I was getting more of a strainer-type cover. I've given it three stars because it's well constructed and a neat design, but not as functional as I hoped.

3.0 out of 5 stars Love the "sewer" sink stopper idea September 11, 2010

Love the "sewer" sink stopper idea, but it doesn't drain too well on all sinks. My sink has a somewhat flat bottom, so it tended to plug it when I wanted it to drain (and I had the drain stopper turned to open). But, I usually LOVE Fred products. They have some unique items that you can't find elsewhere.
