3.0 out of 5 stars Nice idea, poor quality November 8, 2011

I really like the design on it, it's a great conversation piece when you are drinking in the kitchen and people see it. I just show them the designs on it and they think it's neat. I have an issue with the board because after a few uses (maybe 5), it's starting to fade severely and the poor quality is really apparent. I think I paid $16, which is not that steep, but I would have sacrificed a little beauty for longevity. Maybe a better quality finish that wasn't as attractive at first but maintained for longer.

Pros:
awesome graphic on the board

cons:
worn out fast
fades fast

Overall: this is a GREAT gift, but I would not buy it for personal use again.

1.0 out of 5 stars Zero quality control December 31, 2011

I purchased this cutting board as a Christmas gift. When it arrived, it was broken in half. I sent it back and expected to get a replacement. When the 'replacement' arrived, it was also broken in half. Not good. Zero stars is the real rating.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute gift idea July 5, 2011

This was a gift for my father who loves this kind of thing. Our friend saw me give it to him and wanted one for himself. It is exactly what was advertised- a cutting board with that has measurements and guides for different types of cuts. The only complaint I have- which they did say clearly in the description- is the size. It was smaller then I realized. I wished it was a little bigger. But other then that, great product!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not practical January 30, 2012

I was super excited about this cutting board, yet after the first use and cleaning it broke in half. Don't expect this sucker to last long.

1.0 out of 5 stars Split a part in a month March 2, 2012

I owned the board for a month and only used lightly, the surface measurements wore off very quickly and got ragged after several hand washings with soap and a dish brush. Then, I notice it beginning to split along one of the lines where the board is glued. It then just cracked in a straight clean line into two pieces. The board isn't a solid piece of wood, it is glued sections which I believe most cutting boards are but, this one just came apart. I wouldn't waste the money on it-cute but cheap.

1.0 out of 5 stars piece o crap January 26, 2012

The cutting board is so cheap that it didn't even survive shipping! Mine had a huge crack in it. Totally cheap, not worth the novelty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute and creative present July 26, 2011

I've laughed at my boyfriend before when I task him with chopping stuff for guac. It takes him forever because the tomatoes need to be juuuuust right. I got two - one for my dad and one for my boyfriend, and they both thought it was funny. My dad wanted to use it as an excuse to buy better knives though, so watch out for that :)

1.0 out of 5 stars Bowed December 31, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
We were in the market for a new cutting board and had seen this one before. It appealed to our sense of humor and practicality.

However, it came warped. The reason we wanted new cutting boards and were willing to pay a touch more than we would for a simple plank of wood is the lovely, geeky, helpful graphic/lines. But a warped cutting board is obnoxious, boarding on useless, and can be dangerous.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great if you want to own a bunch of 12" x 1" sticks
We bought this because of the small size (small NY kitchen). We got it from a fancy-ass food place so there was no indication that this was supposed to be a gag -- it's not like we... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Novelty Item Only
I read the reviews previously so I knew what to expect - something smallish and poor quality. But for a gag/novelty gift, it was just what I was looking for. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars I've had disposable cups last longer than this cutting board.
It looks great when you get it but the wood was faded and broken after 3 washes. It wasn't even used very much. Eventually it split in half. Read more

Fred and co. makes lots of great gag gifts, and apparently this is another. The board is way too small for actual chopping and the quality is poor. Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool!
Bought as a gift for friends who do in fact argue about the size of a carrot stick, so very well received... Funny but useful

3.0 out of 5 stars Funny, but small
I didn't pay attention to the dimensions of this product and found it VERY tiny. The recipient of the gift however thought it was hilarious.

1.0 out of 5 stars Warps, fades fast
I received this as a gift, and while it's an awesome idea, it warped and faded within two months of use. It's almost useless now. I'll stick to bamboo or plastic from now on.
