5.0 out of 5 stars Great as an ice mold also!!!
I love this product. If you spray it well with Pam and use a little flour, your cake wont stick at all. After I baked the cake and cleaned out the mold, I filled it with water and froze it, dropped it into my punchbowl and that's right....PEACE SIGN PUNCH!!!It looked awesome and everyone loved it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, July 19, 2011

This is awesome!

Here is what I did twice with impressive results.

mix up a box of funfetti cake mix

partition it off into 4 bowls

spray the mold with cooking spray and then throw flour on the spray

In the 4 bowls add about 15-20 drops of gel cooking dye. Wilsons was the brand I used

Plop the Mix in the mold anywhere. Swirl with the back of a knife. Then drop the batter and the mold on a table from about 2 inches above the table until it fills in everything and the majority of the bubbles work their way out.

Cook it at 350 for about 30 min

Cool for 20 min and wiggle the mold until it pops out. Take your time!

frost it, for the inside of the depressions I used the back of a 1/8 teaspoon

refrigerate for 15 min

add some sprinkles and then some chopped up Strawberries and blue berries in the depressions

You end up with a tie dye cake on the inside, some fruit on top and it looks amazing.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Peace Sign silicone cake form sold on Amazon.com, April 18, 2010

Now that silicone has replaced aluminum molds making them very flexible, you still must remember to heavily smear shortening in all the right angles' nooks and crannies followed with flour dusting prior to filling! Then once filled with your favorite batter and form is placed on cookie sheet gently shake and peck on counter to release air bubbles from bottom of mold. After baking allow to cool then place cake plate upside down on top of pan and flip it over. Gently peck silicone forms' peace sign with spoon, then slowly lift sides outward from cake then carefully upward and you should successfully release the form and have a perfect peace sign shaped cake. If not, frosting is a great adhesive! Cake's recesses are great for filling with fruit or fruit compote too! Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Peace Cake Pan, April 5, 2010

I bought this for a very particular occasion and had never used a "soft" cake pan before. I was actually delightfully surprised at how absolutely easily the cake came out of the pan. Grease and flour just like they say and have fun with it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool Cake Mold, June 15, 2011
This review is from: Fred and Friends Peace of Cake (Kitchen)
This is a great cake mold. The only problem I had was that I wound up filling it too full because I was trying to adequately cover the peace sign indentions. I made a triple layer cake with this as the top layer, then put fruit in the indentions. Very cute.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not very happy with this product, June 14, 2011

I would not recommend this product. I liberally greased and floured my mold, but the first was ruined because I couldn't get it out. My second and third cakes did come out whole. You need to let it cool for about 5 minutes, and then turn it upside down to cool for 20 minutes or so. Then work it out carefully. But when I placed it on the base round cake, it came apart because the cakes are not completely flat and it pulled apart at the raised peace sign. I would have just drawn a peace sign had I have known.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute mold, March 7, 2011

My daughter wanted a Peace Sign cake, so I thought this would be perfect. The cake was adorable, but not perfect. The cake did not come out clean, and I had to glue some pieces back on with frosting. It looked a little rough, but we used plenty of decorative frosting to cover up the fixes. I also made jello in the mold and that would not come out at all and needed to be eaten from the mold itself.

This is cute and I am glad I purchased it, but for those perfectionists out there, this may not be the one to go with.

2.0 out of 5 stars cute but not functional, February 5, 2011
This review is from: Fred and Friends Peace of Cake (Kitchen)
The pan is super cute, that's why I bought it. However, I have used it four times and never have had a success. You can spray all the Pam you want, but it still turns out to be a disaster. It is a little difficult to pour batter into the pan and to get the right amount in the pan. I would not recommen this.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not good for an inexperienced cake baker, October 4, 2010

I bought this peace sign cake mold so I could bake a peace sign cake for my daughter. I had never used a shaped cake pan before, nor a silicone cake pan. I not only had trouble getting the cake out of the pan (yes, I greased and floured it, but apparently not enough), but I also had trouble getting the cake to rise/bake in the center even though the outer edge was done. Very disappointing. On the third try, I did have a cake to give my daughter, but it was far from perfect!
