5.0 out of 5 stars Realistic-Unique-Durable & Fun!
I love the unique and realistic looking qualities of the fish and it's also very durable. I've yet to see another one on the market like it.

I bought this for my son when he was about 1.5 years-old and he loves playing with it in his tub. Since then, the light in the fish has gone out and he still enjoys it and he's now 2 years, 9 months.

I so wanted this to be our new bath favorite, but the moment I opened the box, I new I would NEVER let my son play with this fish, particularly in the bath. There is an extremely strong toxic smell. I entertained keeping it for water play in the sink, but I just can't risk it. It smells THAT BAD.

Wish I had known. Such a disappointment.

By the way, there were no strange chemical smells coming from it like one of the other reviews had mentioned.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Cool Fish, June 14, 2010

These are very fun fish. I can see them used to just float in a pond. However, I bought them for my (almost) 4-year-old twin boys, and they LOVE them. We use them in the tub. And they love to lift them out of the water to see the lights go off, then put them back in and "swim" them all over the place while the lights change colors. They have been unusually fascinated with these fish. As bath toys, I haven't seen anything better. If I had a Koi pond, I'd probably let them float in it, too!

My grandson wanted a fish for Christmas, so grandma got him this one. He LOVED it! It's well made (quality) and a good size. I was more than happy when I received it. The fact that it lights up upon contact with the water is neat but just realize it will only last 40 hours. I don't think it will make any difference to my grandson when the light no longer works. One warning-it wouldn't float upright no matter how I positioned it in the water (looked like a dying fish, ha ha), but my grandson doesn't seem to be worried about that, (he's 5), so neither am I. I hope this peculiarity is just a flaw in this particular fish and that they all don't do that-I noticed no one else mentioned it in their feedback. If your child wants a fish, buy this!

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT ADDITION, December 13, 2011

I love these goldfish! They add so much to my pond and are a great conversation piece. I enjoy watching them float, but since I have them in a pond within a community garden, they are only in the pond when I am in the garden; otherwise, they are so attractive, I am afraid they would be stolen. The only disadvantage is that their battery is not replaceable. Once their battery runs low, they will no longer light up, but they will still make cute floating toys. Maybe then, theft will be less of a problem.

My kids loved this toy so much, I ended up buying as many as I could for gifts. It is a simple toy, but the kids just seem to love it. I like it because there is no mess and seems pretty durable.

This toy is a blast for the 2 year old with supervision. The changing lights are great. 40 hours of use. That is a lot for a toddler for they are not in the tub that long. Its last for many many baths.
