(OK, I know it's a horrid pun, but come on - it just writes itself!)
Cuteness aside, this is a handy addition for the Fire. It is perfect for selecting items and turning pages - basically, most of the things that you touch the screen for when using the Fire. It is not, however, the stylus to use if you want to type for long periods of time or need any level of drawing control - it's just too small and clunky for that.
It measures just shy of 3.5 inches from tip to base. The "match stick" portion is textured plastic that looks (sort of) like a wooden match stick, and is about 0.25 inches wide. The stick color is not as brown as it appears on screen. It's more of a putty color. The touch tip is solidly affixed, and is bright red with a white spot at the very top.
While I have a full-size stylus (an Amazon Basics one) that I use on my other tablets, this little guy is a perfect fit for the Fire. It also stores easily in the Fire case (see picture).
While I bought it mostly for the cuteness, it actually works pretty well. It's fine for pointing, but not as smooth as other styli when it comes to scrolling. Getting the package open is also a real chore. But, the cuteness factor overshadows those limitations and I'll give it 5 stars. Highly recommend.
