5.0 out of 5 stars I included this in a basket full of gag gifts and it was a hit!
I made up a basket full of various gag gifts and included this Luckey Bottle Opener Keyring in the basket. It was a definite hit.

2.0 out of 5 stars mediocre
the lip that's supposed to catch underneath the cap and lift the bottle top is a bit narrow; I generally have a couple of 'misfires' before I catch one of the cap's serrations and successfully open the bottle.

This bottle opener is sturdy and as portable as a large key on it's well made keyring. The problem I had with this bottle opener is that the lip was too rounded to open my coke and beer bottles well. When it didn't slip off, it would take more than one attempt to pry the bottle cap off. Sure not a big deal, but big enough to not warrant a higher rating.

After I got this bottle opener I put it on my key right and used it regularly for about two weeks before the ring on it broke. I'm completely fine with losing the ring because it can still be put on my key ring. Only other problem I have with it is that the ledge that catches the bottle cap is a little small and it can be difficult to open bottles. Other than that it blends in pretty well with my other keys and is a good conversation stater. Even with the couple of problems I had with it I would recommend it for purchase.

It's a very good ring. although it may be a little big serves well to uncover bottles. I like its design, in addition to Amazon's service is excellent.

2.0 out of 5 stars Horribly designed, but does the job, March 29, 2010
This review is from: Fred Luckey Bottle Opener Keyring (Kitchen)
The bottle opener bends the bottle cap until it comes off, instead of simply, popping it off. The opener tend to slip off due to it being so thin. Get a bottle opener that has a wider hold on the cap.

I know a lot of beer drinkers so this ended up being a great lat minute gift for them. It's functional and readily available on their key chain. It's affordable for buying in bulk but there's not much too it as far as presentation since packaging is just in plain plastic with description.

so this product is beautiful and unique, but it doesn't work perfectly well because it tends to slip. shipping was super fast, perfect condition, couldn't be happier

This is slightly bigger than a regular key, but small enough that it could pass for one. It's pretty effective when you're in a situation that you don't have access to an opener (and aren't cool enough to do that whole "open a bottle with anything" trick).

My only complaint is that the smaller fin is kinda small, so I kinda had to get used to the motion involved. But buy this thing.

This thing sucks, it has barely enough lip on it to barely begin to lift the bottle cap off. The first and last time that I used it, I had to struggle over and over again to lift the cap off resulting in the beer spilling all over me. I immediately threw the thing away. It does not work. It looks great and it's a great idea, but the functionality sucks.
