Product Description

The end is near. But that's a GOOD thing, because The End is a clever bookend that will lend some dramatic structure to your personal library. It's made from strong steel that's been precision-cut and handsomely powder-coated. So don't be crushed by the weight of all your books - organize them!

Like a wall or side of a book case.
Bender
It will actually hold up a row of books, but make sure the ones it's actually propping up are light.

The idea is very original and it looks very nice!

I love the way that this bookend looks, so I gave it 3 stars just for that. But it can only really hold one book. If you try and add more books, it just falls over. It needs rubber grippers on the bottom or something, which I'm sure I could find at the hardware store and add on the bottom myself. It just seems like a pretty big design flaw to create a book end that can only hold one book.

It will actually hold up a row of books, but make sure the ones it's actually propping up are light. Buy for visual interest -- not heavy duty bookending.

It is a really cool looking peice. Shame it is so small. It wont hold books with any weight to them. If all you are going to use it for are small paper backs it should do fine.

Not the most sterdy thing in the world but very cute and looks great. Gave it to my dad for father's day and he put it in his office. It's propping up some Freud (he is a psychologist).

This is a fun product that I use in my classroom to draw student attention to my Top Picks of the Week. My students are constantly amazed by it and can't get over the design. It's dramatic and eye-catching; other teachers have expressed surprise and delight when they see it and commend it for making something as mundane as a classroom library "catchy" without being flashy and gaudy.

I'm glad I read the cautions: this functions perfectly well as a book end, just as long as there is not too much weight on the actual "vertical(?)" edge. Standard books work great; large books such as a Shakespeare conpendium or a thick anthology will bend this, ruining the effect, and possibly break it entirely.

Overall, I enjoy this product for its dramatic flair and the reaction it creates; as for function it is just that: functionable.

this is a very cute bookend and i really like the way it looks. i read the reviews before buying and bought it anyway, knowing that i was not going to use it for my super heavy books (it is just not heavy enough to hold War and Peace hardbacks). i recommend for thinner books or magazines.
