Someone at an art exhibition thought my work reminded him of a Fred Williams painting. I had vaguely heard of Fred Williams but really knew nothing about him so went to my local library in Gnowangerup. They kindly did a search and ordered the book "Fred Williams 1927-1982" by Patrick McCaughey, published by Murdoch.I hated returning the book. Finally I came to my senses and bought the book on-line from Amazon. My first purchase of anything via the internet! This a lovely book. A weighty, well written, beautifully presented book with an extensive collection of exquisite art work. This lovely book goes from my studio to my coffee table everyday and inspires me to keep exploring my Great Southern, Australian landscape. This is a book you can judge by it's cover. Bronwyn Gaze |
