Product Description

From Children's Software Revue® -- "Subscribe Now!"

This is one in a series of five limited but fun and affordable games that feature Putt-Putt, Freddi Fish and other characters from Humongous. In this game, inspired from the arcade classic Asteroids, children help Luther the fish aim and fire his sling shot to pop as many bubbles as possible and collect "worm doodles." The levels of difficulty change automatically as children play, and the program can be set for either play against the computer or against another child. Our testers found the game to be a bit fast paced for the lower ages, but generally fun. Some expected to see the depth of content found in the regular Freddi Fish programs and were disappointed with just one game. Another tester noted that this program is not nearly as addictive or fun as Luther's Maze Madness. Keep in mind that this is an arcade game with no real educational value, and it's a very different type of product than the popular Freddi Fish programs.

An animated arcade game!Product InformationDive in to help collect worm doodles and save the sea creatures before the oceandrains! Freddi Fish's finny friend Luther has plenty on his mind as he races topop an ocean full of air bubbles that will lower the water level if they make itto the surface! Water Worries features more than 100 challenging levels andhundreds of hidden surprises. In Water Worries you play Luther a young green fish who gets sucked into awhirlpool and must find his way out. Luther's search will eventually take himthrough 100 underwater levels jam-packed full of action and adventure. On theway home Luther will need to be aware of the hazards around him while pickingup worm doodles which will allow him to advance further. Bubbles which areconstantly rising from deep within the whirlpool will force the water leveldown if they are allowed to reach the water's surface. If the water levelbecomes too low Luther will have to retry the level minus one energy level. Luther alsoneeds to be careful when navigating the whirlpool since running into a bubblemay render him momentarily trapped and unable to fire his slingshot.Luther will also have the opportunity to qualify for a Bonus Round every fivelevels starting at level 10. In the Bonus Round Luther will be positioned nearthe bottom of a canyon with a net. Oysters which are positioned on either sideof the canyon spit out pearls which will bounce down into the canyon. On theway the pearls may bounce off of jellyfish making their path hard to predict. For every pearl which Luther is able to catch in his net he'll receive 100points. Black Pearls will also be dropped occasionally and if Luther is able tocatch one of these he'll increase his energy level by one. Product HighlightsJunior Arcade games are jam-packed with

5.0 out of 5 stars Vague Memories, June 9, 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Freddi Fish and Luther's Water Worries (CD-ROM)
I have vague memories of this game. I do remember though that it was awesome beyond compare, I actually first played this when I was 2.(below the intended age) I used to play this TONS before I started school, this was(if I recall) the first HE Game I ever played. I'm sure it will sharpen your young children's reflexes, and provide lots of fun.
This is coming from a 14 yr old.

3.0 out of 5 stars Freddi Fish, April 7, 2008

This review is from: Freddi Fish and Luther's Water Worries (CD-ROM)
I was a little disappointed with this game. I had played other Freddi Fish games with my granddaughter, which were adventure games, and this game is strictly an arcade game. I'm sure my granddaughter will still enjoy it, but it is not what I thought I was buying.
