I loved this story, basic plot is a frog is hungry so throws it tongue out and reels in various other animals to eat. Freddie starts off with the normal prey for a frog, then he moves onto what would be his predators in real life, then well his meals get even more and more bizarre. It's a good educational story in that you can discuss with the children you are reading it with which of Freddie's meals he actually would eat in real life as well about how frogs' use their tongues to catch their prey. The story also rhymes, which adds to the fun. The illustrations are fairly basic, the cover art is a pretty good representation of all we ever see of Freddie and the other animals are also very basic. Even though Freddie eats the other animals we don't ever see this, all we see is his tongue touching or wrapping around them.
A really good simple idea done well, I think this would be really successful if ever turned into a physical picture book as well.
