Drawings and Illustrations In the Public Domain
As noted, the illustrations in this 9 by 12 inch book are mostly black and white. They come from several sources but most importantly from Drawings by Frederic Remington, 1897, a book which sells on the collectors market for $700 to $1,000. Another major source was Harper's Weekly. As Remington died in 1909 over 100 years have passed since his death placing his drawings...

Don't Waste Your Money!
UMMM, I tried to rate it a '0', not available! What they don't mention (ah, they are circumspect!) is that EVERY picture is in glorious black and white. Yes, you could do as well with a trip to the library and use their photocopier!

UMMM, I tried to rate it a '0', not available!What they don't mention (ah, they are circumspect!) is that EVERY picture is in glorious black and white. Yes, you could do as well with a trip to the library and use their photocopier!

They come from several sources but most importantly from Drawings by Frederic Remington, 1897, a book which sells on the collectors market for $700 to $1,000. Another major source was Harper's Weekly. As Remington died in 1909 over 100 years have passed since his death placing his drawings in the public domain in most jurisdictions. This book offers high quality reproductions, and, particularly if purchased used, is a bargain. It offers good value at full price. Many of the images depict scenes from the Indian Wars in the west as well as many other realistic and imagined scenes from Western history.
