5.0 out of 5 stars Freedom Is Closer Than You Think
This book is a tremendous Bible study that only requires 15 minutes a day. But in that short amount of time, you will quickly become familiar with the content of two books -- Galatians and Ephesians. Paul's letter to the Galatians will teach you about the freedom of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the letter to the Ephesians will teach you how to walk in that freedom...

The reading and circling and re-reading and underlining and re-re-reading and making triangles is a little much. Okay I get it already. Sorry. Maybe this approach works for other people. We tried this as a Small Group Bible Study and were BORED TO TEARS!

5.0 out of 5 stars Freedom Is Closer Than You Think, June 19, 2000
By A Customer
This book is a tremendous Bible study that only requires 15 minutes a day. But in that short amount of time, you will quickly become familiar with the content of two books -- Galatians and Ephesians. Paul's letter to the Galatians will teach you about the freedom of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the letter to the Ephesians will teach you how to walk in that freedom. This inductive survey of these two important books of the New Testament is powerful, teaching us truths such as God's part in our salvation, how to win in spiritual warfare, and how to walk in the Spirit. If you're not a regular student of God's Word, this is a great place to start. Kay Arthur gives you small assignments each day, then challenges you with a "final thought" at the end of the week. You won't be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Free Indeed, January 23, 2001

I am currently using this book to do my own Bible Study. The reason I am writing this review before I have finished this book is because I am eager to express what an excellent study tool this book is. The Holy Spirit has already taught me so much through this study. I am looking forward to more. I just urge anyone that is in bondage to doctrines of men and false teaching to begin to study Galatians for yourself. I urge anyone that wants to walk in the wealth of your position in Christ to study Ephesians for yourself. This book will help you get on track. Don't give up no matter what! This book will have you in the Word daily. It gives you instructions on how to mark your Bible and spot keywords. This is excellent study for you to discover truth for yourself in God's Word. I also have the New Inductive Study Bible as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars A user-friendly Bible study, January 8, 2011

As someone who has read the Bible for years--but rarely studied it--this book is a wonderful guide into learning to study, observe, think and meditate on what I'm really reading. With a day-by-day set up, it's not overwhelming like I thought it might be at first. While Kay does guide the reader to look at specific ideas, like the best teachers, she gives her students the tools to come to their own conclusions based on evidence from the text.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good guide to a very difficult set of books, October 22, 2010

Our small group is doing a bible study and we decided to study Galatians. For what looks like such a short and straightforward book, it's incredibly deep. This book helps you read and re-read it so that you get all the nuances. Well done.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truth sets you free, March 22, 2008
This review is from: Free from Bondage God's Way: Galatians/Ephesians (The New Inductive Study Series) (Paperback)
Though any of these studies could be done by an individual, you will learn so much more if you meet with a group of people for weekly discussion.

If you have never done an inductive study before, any of the books in this series would be a great starting point. You will be empowered when you realize you can study the Bible yourself, that you can understand the Bible, and that the different books of the Bible are consistent and relevant.

New Inductive Series of studying the Bible is so wonderful. It's a daily study and calls for interaction. I look forward to my time in God's Word more than I ever have. I really enjoy studying the Scriptures in this manner. Kay Arthur is a wonderful teacher.
