5.0 out of 5 stars Justice for Yoko
If you follow the Sisterhood you will know that Yoko is finally getting her chance at revenge for her father. What the group did not know is who are father is and how well known he is.

The book is great and I think Yoko faces many hard obstacles in getting the revengs she waited so long for. This time it is not easy and Myra and her new friend/member Annie...

3.0 out of 5 stars The Gold Shields fail!
I LOVED this series, but was disappointed with this LAST installment.

In this one, the Sisterhood was reduced to being as inept as the Keystone Kops from the earliest Black and White movies.

How things could have gone AS badly as they did with Charles' contacts AND the Gold Shields on the job leaves me speechless!

In LETHAL...

In LETHAL JUSTICE Charles ships those two pesky reporters, both scared spitless, to NY and warns them that they best stay out of D.C; that their activities WOULD be monitored and their containment ENFORCED...yet in FREE FALL they are back without controls, to create the kind of antics that made the Keystone Kops the buffoons of the Movie's infancy.

Charles, who is personal friends with the Queen of England, and can activate the type of protections of the U.S. SECRET...SUPER Secret Gold Shields, SHOULD have been able to keep these two nuisance-mongers under better control.

As if that isn't bad enough, you have Myra and her new recruit, her friend Anna HIJACKING a taxicab and its driver?

This is the same Myra who could afford the purchase of Anna's Estate in Spain, but couldn't see to it that an appropriate vehicle is waiting for them in California?

It saddens me that the Sisters are now ESCAPED Criminals because the safeguards against Ted and Maggie fell far short of what were promised in LETHAL JUSTICE.

I LOVED the series, and I will purchase the next in this line...hopefully Charles and Myra will be back on their game as they had been up till FREE FALL...but FREE FALL leaves me mourning for the creative justice the Sisterhood had shown consistently throughout the first six titles.

Please Ms. Michaels, bring back the crisp justice of the Sisterhood.

5.0 out of 5 stars Justice for Yoko, February 15, 2007
If you follow the Sisterhood you will know that Yoko is finally getting her chance at revenge for her father. What the group did not know is who are father is and how well known he is.

The book is great and I think Yoko faces many hard obstacles in getting the revengs she waited so long for. This time it is not easy and Myra and her new friend/member Annie are getting involved more then they should and they are even told to stop the mission but we all know the sisters are our for revenge and will stop at nothing short.

Ms. Michaels is fantastic with the ideas she comes up with for revenge and dont think any of you will be disappointed with how she seeks it. I loved it and was almost not sure the mission would be accomplished.

Please don't tell us the series is ending..................it was great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't Get Mad; Get Even, April 10, 2007
This is the last in a really neat series about a sisterhood of women who assist each other in exacting retribution when the system has let them down. They have the resources and the will to exact vengeance on the perpetrators of acts that are virtually universally considered as needing to be punished, such as diplomatic immunity, spousal abuse, framing someone innocent and stealing their business, health insurance fraud, and the like. It is a lot of fun to see how the sisters help each other to exact justice. It is also very interesting to see how they figure out what "justice" should be, and how they feel about exacting it. The exploration of the concept of "justice" adds considerable depth to the series.

4.0 out of 5 stars exciting thriller, October 7, 2007
This review is from: Free Fall (Sisterhood, Book 7) (Mass Market Paperback)
The Sisterhood selects Michael "Mick" Lyons as their next target. In Japan over three decades ago, Michael purchased the mother of member Yoko Akia from her parents promising a good life for their offspring in America. Instead he used her as part of his prostitution ring; selling her as an exotic hooker until she became pregnant with his child. The irresponsible hedonistic movie mogul dumped her expecting her to die. That child Yoko survived and as an adult seeks vengeance for her mom.

The Sisters begin their diabolical plot of vengeance by exposing for the world especially his circle the sleazy dealings of Lyons and some of his cronies. As they carry out their scheme, the Sisters know they must be vigilant as the police seem to be closing in on them.

The latest Sisterhood SWEET REVENGE PAYBACK to bring LETHAL JUSTICE to those who have gotten away with crimes against women is an exciting thriller with this time being Yoko's VENDETTA. The story line is action-packed as the fearsome feminists plot to destroy Michael and his VIP male cohorts. The plot, as is the norm in this fun series, seems implausible, but no one will care as everyone will root for Yoko to destroy her biological father.

Fern Michaels has done it again! She had ended a series of books with a bang!! The "Sisterhood" series is incredible and leaves you short of breath. Those of us who loved it will eagerly await the spinoff series "The Rules of the Game". Hurry Fern - don't make us wait too long!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!, March 8, 2007
Of course the moment I saw this book was out I NEEDED it. It definately turns out very different than I expected, and I had tears when it was over, for it is the last mission in the series. These women have all come to be part of a great dream, and I have enjoyed being able to read this vigilante series. So often people get the short end of the stick in life and somehow they need to get justice. Absolutely amazing at the thought process, and details that this series goes to, and I am saddened to see it all end.......
I also want to know if Nicki and Jack ever get married?? lol

5.0 out of 5 stars Free Fall - revenge of the Sisterhood, April 10, 2007

Excellent! But I hated to see the series come to an end! It was one of Fern Michael's best series among all the others she had written. I couldn't wait until each one came out and have the whole series and am saving it forever! The series shows the courage and wisdom of how women can take charge of their lives and get back at those that have done them wrong in the past that caused their problems and downfalls of today. It takes a friend, or in this case, several to come to terms with what happened to them and reach a solution that benefited them all. A must read series!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sisterhood 's the Thing, January 10, 2007

Fern Michaels describes the importance of sisterhood for many women who have no one else. Her characters sing of the need for other women to share their problems, successes, and daily lives. No matter the difficulty, the women work together for a united end helped by Charles and Myra, sweethearts to each other and for the women.

I thoroughly enjoy Fern Michaels created qusi-family in the Sisterhood series.

1.0 out of 5 stars Please do some research, September 16, 2010
This review is from: Free Fall (Sisterhood, Book 7) (Mass Market Paperback)
I only have read one of the 'Sisterhood' books and a friend recommended this one. I am on page 49 now, and I really can't make out, where Fern Michaels is living. In this world or in a fantasy world? Does she really think, Japan is a third world country? Does she mix it up with Bangladesh, Somalia or the norther part of Thailand?

I have lived in Japan and travelled it very often and not in a group of 'gaijin' (Japanese for foreigner). I was alone and I travelled areas, where no 'normal' tourist is going. I have never seen a village like the one she describes, where Yoko's grandparents live. Japan is the second largest economy in the world. And, even 30 or 40 years ago, no Japanese would have sold his daughter for $ 500. It was the time of the Japanese 'economical miracle'.

And no Japanese would consider the US as a country where 'the streets are gold' and 'the money hangs from trees'. They would think: "Hey, it's the country, where Toyota alone outnumbered GM, Ford and Chrysler together in selling cars."

And, by the way, Ms. Michaels, no Japanese (except really very few junkies) smoke opium pipes. It was in China where they did it at the turn of the 19/20 century.

Ms. Micheals has the same problems with Spain, where some American grandparents have to come to make a better living for the poor, undereducated, underdeveloped Spaniards. Spain is a strong member of the Eurpean Union.

Try to sell that book in Japan or Spain.

Well, I gave that book back to my friend, without finishing it. I think Ms. Micheals should do some research before she writes about countries she only has heard of and know their existence. Or her lector or her publisher should do it for her.
