A Good Read 23 Years Later,
By
This review is from: Free Flight (Hardcover)
I received Free Flight as a Christmas gift 1n 1980 and have just finished reading again (December 2003) for the third or fourth time. The book reads as good now as it did 23 years ago. Terman has the ability to capture the reader's attention and keep it all the way through. There are absolutely no dull spots in this book even the scene setting flashbacks are alive. The first part of the book will make the reader wonder what this is all about then it hits like a hammer. A Four Star rating from me is indeed high praise. What happend to Douglas Terman?

This review is from: Free Flight (Hardcover)
I read this book when I was 18, and I was not a reader at all then, so a book had to be outstanding for me to even keep up with it.Set in a post-nuclear, Russian controlled u.s., its a gripping visualization of life might have been like had the Russians won a real war against us. You will love this book if you like action, what if? scenerios of u.s. history, and great stories.
