Book Description

Please note this eBook is not USA-specific: in other words, each site mentioned in this Guide allows you to download and enjoy their content on your Kindle no matter which country you may live.

From the author of the Amazon Kindle best-selling blog “Free Kindle Books and Tips” comes this update to your definitive guide to millions of free books online! Rather than limit yourself to the offerings at Amazon, there are literally thousands upon thousands of books, short stories, and more available to you for no charge which you can transfer directly to your Kindle or other eBook reader, download via the Kindle’s WhisperNet service or email directly to your Kindle.

Sure, you could spend several hours performing the same research, but save yourself the time and frustration as this guide will show you where to look and find thousands of books so you can read to your heart’s content!

Everyone enjoys receiving free stuff – the author included. This guide shows you where you can receive several hundred thousand (actually over a million) free books, blogs, short stories, and other content. Theoretically, you will never have to pay another cent for Kindle reading content again.

This guide also provides a brief overview of how to transfer books to your Kindle, the various file formats that are compatible with the Kindle, and how to download free books from the Internet and transfer to your Kindle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great! February 28, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I am surprised to see some of the low ratings on this blog!! I have found it to be very helpful and saves me a ton of time. When I purchased my Kindle I was very concerned about spending too much money and the whole one button push and I have a book. I love to read so I made a deal with myself. I will start looking at the free books...starting with the classics. I found this blog and thought I would give it a try. 14 days for free so why not! I have downloaded almost every book recommended, put them into categories and then take a look at them when I have time. Many of them I will never read and I delete them. BUT... I have now read books that I would never have read if I paid for them initially. (I just can't afford it)The books offered are very diverse. Again, some I don't have any interest in reading, but I am sure that others do. To me it is just plain silly that people are complaining that they don't like the books offered. Hello....those are offered by the publishers..not the provider of the blog. And why would you think he has any control over how long it is offered? In any event, I highly recommend it. It has saved me a ton of time and has gotten me into reading books I never would have picked up. Thank you!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth $1.99 September 21, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Granted there are many good resources listed in the book, but nothing you couldn't find via Google. Also some of the sites listed had already changed their URL's. OK. This is not the author's fault, but it does reinforce the fact that Google is better than this book. If you hate using a search engine, then this is the book for you, otherwise just search for free ebooks yourself.

2.0 out of 5 stars Free Kindle Books..for $1.98?? November 29, 2010

Format:Kindle Edition
Free Kindle Books and How to Find Them.. revised.

Revised or not, you can get the same info from Amazon by doing a search on Amazon..
Search: Kindle Store ; Free
Then Click on "Free Book Collection"

There's a whole page/pages dedicated to free e-books and other sites that are compatible with Kindle. A whole list of them...

And yes, I find that rather ironic.. a book titled Free Kindle Books and How to Find Them and charging for it. LOL

Anyway, save your money.. just do a search. Amazon provides most of the info.

3.0 out of 5 stars Why spend $$$ on information that you can get free??? January 15, 2011
A Kid's Review
Format:Kindle Edition
I have always believed that you should never have to pay for something that is available for free. Free kindle books can be found simply by searching the internet. Perhaps this book serves as an easier guide but... It also includes a brief overview on tips to download various types of books onto your kindle. Again, this information is freely available if you search for it.

Back to getting FREE books, I have found a great resource to be [...]. They send emails to you twice daily with the free newly listed kindle books here on Amazon. If they have a book that sounds of interest, all you have to do is click on the book in their email, up comes the book on Amazon. If you like the book, click "buy it now" and bingo your book is downloaded free to your kindle from Amazon. I love this site! *I have no affiliation with them in case anyone is wondering. I'm just a very satisfied customer.

If you don't want to go search for the free things available to you online yourself then perhaps this book would be a good resource for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Time-saving Tips December 31, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I saw a few reviews which stated that someone could simply do a search on "Google" and find the same information. It`s true, but to those who are not Google-savy or who want to be directed to sites without having to filter out the unsafe or bogus sites this is a useful little guide. I`ve been receiving Mr. Gallagher's daily Kindle freebie emails for almost a year now and he has always done a fantastic job of helping Kindle users find all the free books their little Kindle's can hold. Find his website and sign-up for his daily emails. Not only will he help you find the free stuff, he will help you to learn all of the useful little things your Kindle can do.

2.0 out of 5 stars Save your money; browse the Top 100 Free January 28, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I think that the author really tries to send out important information and share what free books are available.

However, I personally felt like I was wasting my time by wading through info on genres that don't appeal to me. I didn't find anything special that I hadn't found myself by daily browsing this way on Amazon.com via my Kindle3: Search > Kindle ebooks > Bestsellers > Top 100 Free

Browse those top 100 on a daily or every-other-day basis and you will get as many or more free books than are featured on this blog. It will take you a week or so to familiarize yourself with which books are actually bodice rippers or Christian chick lit, but once you can pass those over you will find many worthwhile free downloads.

1.0 out of 5 stars The answer: "Google" January 3, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
People, please don't waste your money on this book (currently costing three dollars). It's easy to find free books that you can read on your Kindle: use Google, Bing, Yahoo, or any search engine of your choice and search for "free ebooks". Project Gutenberg at Gutenberg.org has a ton of classics available for your immediate consumption.

1.0 out of 5 stars DISAPPOINTMENT! December 28, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Save your money for a pack of gum! This 'book' will only provide you with links to other services that you may purchase memberships to in order to download free e-books. These memberships give you lists of books that you could find on your own with a little research via google or yahoo. If you are looking for the classics (for free) Amazon has them in abundance.

I'm surprised Amazon has not pulled this sham of a book from their listings!

Why are Books Listed as Free when you have to Pay
I think that you just caught the book in transition. The prices change often, especially on the originally free books. Many are only free long enough to garner enough people to give crdible reviews, then the price goes up. If the price changes before the book has been moved from the free list,... Read More
