I am so happy that I took the time to look through this. It is packed full of great reviews and details on a ton of Kindle apps. It takes a long time to download and try out apps, especially if you plan on having your kids play with them. Mr. Middleton had done a wonderful job of trying out a bunch of apps, only including the ones that he thinks are worthwhile, and giving us quick and easy to get through details about each app. I know what my pet peeves are with apps so it's easy enough when he lists the pros and cons for each one to see if there is a con I just won't tolerate. These are broken down by category with age ranges and a grade. I read through what was pertinent to me in a matter of half an hour and since I was reading on my Kindle, I was able to download apps as I read about them.

Worth every penny.

My 2 year old has her own Kindle Fire and we set it up with apps for her. I had already done a lot of the research before finding this book and had many of the apps he suggested for her age range. I can verify that his picks are good picks. they all work, she likes them and they teach her. I did find 4 apps I hadn't purchased yet,so we added those. I just wish I had found this book sooner. Great guide and easy to understand. Another plus, if you read it from your Kindle, you can click immediately and try them for yourself.

My 3 year old granddaughter loves my Kindle Fire, so I got her one. One of my best ideas until I tried finding appropriate games for her. This book gave me the information that I needed to get her learning the fun way. Thanks for going to all the trouble, so I did not have too.

This is a great reference to have before downloading apps, as well as to get ideas for what to look for in any category (opposed to randomly browsing around). You get the good and the bad reviews from a techie that had really done his homework.

I enjoyed the critiques, usually the only information you can get about an app is the blurb from the manufacturer. The numeric system made it very easy. Thanks to the author!

Please keep updating this very useful book. Please add a chapter that suggests good apps under $5, or $10. Good apps.
