This review is from: Free at Last: Gospel Quartets From Chalice (Audio CD)
If you listened to gospel music on Black radio stations on Sunday mornings in the late 1960s, or if you wanna get an idea what the pious cousin of the era's Soul Music sounded like, then this is for you. Granted, not the best in acoustics, but these songs will pick up your spirit no mater your faith. Theologians will perhaps go "SAY WHAT!?" at the line in "He's A Friend of Mine" about "Jesus meeting Moses at the burning bush." But hey, Biblical scholarship ain't the thing here, the music is.
