5.0 out of 5 stars a must for anyone struggling with abuse and eating disorder, June 10, 2003
This is really one of the best books written for survivors dealing with an eating disorder. The hardest thing for me is to be in relationships because of all the trust that was taken. This book allowed me to see that all the things I feel, experience, and struggle with in relationships are normal. Shari's relationship and experiences with her clients made me feel much more grounded. I did not feel as crazy, overwhelmed and out of control. I recommend this book to anyone that struggles to trust, that uses food as a friend, and that feels like there is not another way. Because there is another way...Shari's honest account has demonstrated this in her book, her life, but mostly in her relationships. She gives the reader a precious gift.....HOPE!
