5.0 out of 5 stars ISRAEL VIBRATION...BEFORE THE DEPARTURE
"FREE TO MOVE" IS THE LAST ISRAEL VIBRATION STUDIO ALBUM RELEASED BEFORE THE DEPARTURE OF ALBERT "APPLE" CRAIG. TO ME, THIS ALBUM IS QUITE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER ISRAEL VIBRATION ALBUMS. YES, THEY STILL DELIVER PURE ROOTS REGGAE, BUT THEY DO IT IN AN UPBEAT FASHION. THIS ALBUM CONTAINS SOME OF THE BEST REGGAE YOU WILL EVER HEAR. NO WONDER THE ALBUM...

1.0 out of 5 stars Good band, bad album
I've been wanting to say this for awhile, and this album actually moved me to write. First, I'm a roots fanatic since the late 70's. I have more reggae CDs than most people have total CDs.

This album is a great example taking a great roots groove as a back drop, and saying any pretentious cliche they feel like. There's no effort here - no art. It's a hollow empty shell...

NO WONDER THE ALBUM IS TITLED "FREE TO MOVE." EVERY SONG WILL HAVE YOU MOVING ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. SOME OF THE LYRICS ON THIS ALBUM ARE LAID BACK, AS WITNESSED ON "TRAVELING MAN", "PRETTY WOMAN", AND "FEELING IRIE." THEN, SOME OF THE LYRICS ARE WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM ISRAEL VIBRATION...LYRICS THAT FOCUS ON THE WORLD ISSUES, AS WITNESSED ON "TERRORIST", "MUD UP", "LIVITY IN THE HOOD" AND OTHERS. IF YOU WANT PURE ROOTS REGGAE AS NEVER HEARD BEFORE, THEN THIS CD IS JUST RIGHT FOR YOU. PERSONALLY, THIS IS ONE OF MY TOP 5 FAVORITE ISRAEL VIBRATION ALBUMS.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Band, GOOD ALBUM!!!, February 15, 2005

You can't say "bad album"!!!. I like too the classic sound of reggae roots (70's & early 80's) but Israel Vibration at this time made a perfect balance between oldie and new sound.
I admit than I had to listen this CD twice before I start to like it. But once you could recognize all tracks this Cd hasn't bad songs. Also are, in my opinion, the most spiritually emotional band ever!. And like the title say Israel Vibration its "FREE TO MOVE". They create reggae muzik!!!

apple, skelly and wiss backed by the roots radics (respect flabba!!) really know what reggae music should sound like. i consider this, along with praises, same song, unconquered people and on the rock, one of IV greatest albums. with any doubt a five star album.

If you are into sincere message music and deep roots reagae sound there is no one like Isreal Vibration and you can buy this ablum without hesitation. This band is unique in the sense that these three artists working on equal terms, each contributing their own destictive note to the sound of Isreal Vibration. This album is backed by the legendary Roots Radics and together with the Vibes a harmonious album with a vital message has been created - we must all be free to move.

It's a hollow empty shell of roots. This is common in a lot of reggae since the mid-90s. They apparently have nothing new to say here, and cling to the album-a-year conveyor.

That said, Isreal Vibration is a great roots band, and I like track 3 on this album - Here I can "feel" them, into their music and having fun... the rest is just filler. Go check out "Strenth of my life" or "Forever" - These will demostrate the wonderful capabilities of the this roots singing group to sincerely lift and elate you.
