This is an excellent product from a company whose products are considered by some to be the standard against which others are measured.

The metal base is heavy enough to keep the prouct stable and the workmanship is of high quality. The poplar rail itself is attractive and sturdy. Assembly took less than 10 minutes and the finished product is both solid and attractive. The ability to raise and lower the bar easily is a very desirable feature; here again, the hand knobs/screws used to secure the risers are of top quality.

My wife, a former professional ballet dancer, is delighted. Altogether, this is an excellent piece of equipment if you can afford it.

My only quibble, and this is a minor one, is that the company did not return an inquiry I made when the metal base arrived without the rail.

this ballet bar was perfect! It was sturdy but not very clunky looking and the ability to raise and lower the bar gave it an extra plus! The must have for any dancer in training or professional.

The product looks very elegant and it is stable/safe to practise Ballet at home. These two points are very important for me. I don't want to put some heavy ugly stuff at home. I ordered the product during the weekend. I got the product already on the comming Friday, within one week, very efficient. - J.Wang

I purchased an 8 foot ballet bar for my daughter. I checked the package for all the parts since the box had been damaged during shipment and they all were there. When I tried to put it together Christmas Eve,the holes were not placed in the bar that was sent to me to attach the legs. There were no instructions as to where the holes should be, so I contacted Amazon and the seller (on Christmas Eve). Still have not heard back from the seller...and it is now New Year's Day. I submitted this review before, but it was not posted.
