Larry Steelman's "Free Zone" is a mellow listen with enough edge to keep you engaged. There are essenses of more widely known Yellowjackets and Bob James throughout the eleven tracks. There is a variety of style and texture to appeal to a wide audience. The production is worthy of the fine musicians that join Steelman. Worth having in your collection.
