FreeStyle Test Strips:,
This review is from: FreeStyle Test Strips - Box of 100 (Health and Beauty)
I was running low on strips and since my insurance deductable started over at the beginning of the new year, they were willing to pay 10% LOL. They cost almost $120 at the Wal-Mart Pharmacy and I wasn't going to drop that kind of dough, especially since I had other meds to buy with minimal insurance coverage. So, I took a chance by considering the Internet to shop for my test strips. Can you imagine how thrilled I was to find Free STyle Test Strips for 50% off the retail. It's time for me to re-order again. I like this :)

This was the first batch I've bought where there were many bad strips (maybe 10%) that errored out. Something I hadn't seen before.

As someone whose insurance does not cover diabetes supplies, it was a surprise to find a low-cost alternative to paying full price for quality testing supplies. I purchased a 100 ct supply of Freestyle test strips for almost 50% less than retail by going through Amazon.com. So far (two weeks in), I have had no problem with these test strips. I am surmising that these test strips are a lower cost because of their upcoming expiration date, which in this case is June of 2010, which gives me plenty of time to use these before their suggested expiration date. I would recommend considering this purchasing venue.

Cheating,

This product does not give the details of the expiry before hand. When I received the product I saw that most of the test strips cannot be used as its expiry is vey close to the date of purchase. I think the seller should clearly mention what expiry date is of the product.

Being able to test your glucose levels in locations other than your fingertips is a definite benefit and one of the primary reasons I changed over to using FreeStyle strips.
The small amount of blood FreeStyle needs to calculate the glucose is also very nice too. Overall, FreeStyle strips are great for diabetics in my opinion.

Not One year,
This review is from: FreeStyle Test Strips - Box of 100 (Health and Beauty)
I ordered 2 100 count test strips. I received 4 50 count test strips expiring from 4 to 10 months from now. It is not a problem for me and it is still more than half the price of Walmart.

I paid $51 for FreeStyle 100 Test Strips(which is about half the price you pay at retail). So far I haven't had any issues with the Test Strips except that it will expire in several months from now.
I wish the expiry of these sticks were 2 yrs or older rather than the current 1 year term.

I am a long-time user of the FreeStyle Freedom glucometer and test strips. I have always found them accurate, and this was a better price than I have found in drug stores or at other diabetic supply web sites.

Ordinarily, this product is excellent.
On this occasion, bought it bulk (400) because of discount price and, after testing (using strips on hand as control), found two containers -- total of 100 strips -- defective. Also, expiration date on product will be reached before all the remaining strips are used.

Freestyle Test Strips - In my opinion if you have to give a drop of blood to something...give it to Freestyle test strips.
