Six or Seven stars, cannot be recommended too highly,
This review is from: Freedom to Change: Development and Science of the Alexander Technique (Paperback)
I wrote this plug for the reading recommendations in Barbara Conable's "How to Learn the Alexander Technique." My recommendation still holds. To date, the richest and most informative book on the Technique. Jones reviews the history of the Technique, summarizes Alexander's books, gives an account of his own experiences as student, trainee and teacher, and gives a short presentation of the contents of his 31 published experimental papers. Some beginners may find this book a little rich for their blood, but this is the one to take to that desert island; the superb bibliography alone is worth the price of the book. Required reading for serious students and teachers.
