The best band you've never heard of...so what are you waiting for???! Buy this CD and find out what Kurth & Taylor's devoted fans are raving about. The longtime musical partnership between Wally Kurth and Christian Taylor is nothing short of genius and is reflected well by the staying power of their music. After owning "Freedom" since it's initial release in October 1999, I still find it to be a CD that spends much of its time circulating in my multi-disc player and I always have a copy of it with me in the car....you just can't grow tired of this album. I can't pick just one outstanding song because they're all pretty outstanding...but there's a reason why the beautiful ballad "Barefoot Ballet" just won a 2002 Emmy for "Best Original Song" used on a daytime program...it's one of the most sensuous, memorable songs I've ever had the pleasure of hearing (dig the opening lyrics of "Steel on velvet, silk on stone, sun-warmed leather, set against chrome...you're a contrast to what I've become, and no one has touched me like you.") "Let It Go" is inspiring to the core, the rocker "Anything" gets a real groove going, you'll find yourself singing along to "September", and the title track definitely kicks...! "Man On Fire" is dark and mysterious, very intriguing....."Hero" is a rocking-good love song very appropriate for being sung by this talented actor ("I want to be your hero, let me be your leading man". "From The Heart" is a winner....and the album's epic closing track "The Journey" is reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac's classic "The Chain" - both tunes were written as a group by all the band members and therefore showcases each musician's outstanding talents. While I was first introduced to Kurth & Taylor via their appearances on "General Hospital", I quickly realized they are MUCH more than that....these are dedicated, gifted musicians who have that rare ability to create unforgettable music. And if you ever have a chance to catch them in concert, don't pass it up...these guys exude a tremendous energy onstage that no recording studio can capture, you will be blown away by their live performance. This is serious rock and roll, no fluffy pop music. The icing on the cake is that these are genuinely nice guys who devote much of their time to performing charity events, raising money for a variety of worthy causes. So when you're ready to experience some great new music, give Kurth & Taylor a chance . . .you'll never look back.

"Freedom", the fourth album by the Kurth & Taylor band,
is another fantastic CD from this group of multi-talented
musicians who put their heart and soul into the music
they create.

This album has upbeat music and inspiring lyrics
in songs such as "Freedom","Let It Go", and a beautiful
ballad,"Barefoot Ballet", which recently won an emmy for best original song.
"Freedom" has something for everyone.

If you like rock/pop/country, this
CD is definitely worth listening. I highly recommend it.

I loved this CD. "Freedom's powerful lyrics
and music has been a positive influence in my life. I
have bought many copies of this CD, not only for my
personal collection, but also for my family and friends.

Compared to Kurth & Taylor's other great self produced
albums,("Kurth & Taylor", "Half and Half", and "Nashville"),
"Freedom" is one of the best.

For K & T fans and fans of ABC's "General Hospital"
who know Kurth & Taylor as "Eddie Maine and the Idle Rich",
this CD is a "must have" for your collection.

The Kurth & Taylor band is outstanding,
and deserves recognition for their musical achievements.

Do not buy this CD because you are a General Hospital fan. Do not dismiss the idea if you are not. Yes, the lead singer is on the show, but that is fairly irrelevent. Buy this CD because it's incredible. Kurth and Taylor rock! Don't just take my word for it.... visit their website and listen for yourself! You will not be disappointed if you like good, real music. I would recommend this CD to just about everyone I know.

I own 4 of Kurth and Taylor's CDs. All of them are great, but I enjoy this one the best. I think that they have really developed into great performers. Their music has evolved. Their songs have more meanings and are more complex than their beginning works. I highly recommend this CD.

I have the first two tapes and when I heard this one on Soap Talk I had to get it Kurth and Taylor are a great band and
W. Kurth has a great sing voice keep it up the both of you.

I found this cd and bought i after I fell in love with track #3 barefoot ballet. Its wonderfull!

This is a great CD. I listen to it all of the time and never get tired of it. I have all of their CDs and they are all great, but this one is the best. I recommend it to all people who enjoy meaningful lyrics. This CD has everything from fast uplifting songs to slow ballads. Barefoot Ballet was just nominated for an Emmy for best original song. That must tell you something. I saw them in person and this CD is the closest thing you can get to the energy that they have on stage. There is not a better deal out there.

I purchased Kurth and Taylor's Freedom cd as a birthday present for my older sister. If she was writing this review, she would be giving it 5 stars, so, since she isn't, and I am, I am giving it 5 stars, even though she hasn't loaned it to me yet to listen to.

Had to buy extras for the cars so I'm never without this music. Barefoot Ballet is my favorite. Buy this today - you won't be sorry!

I am looking for the first CD, by Kurth & Taylor, released in 1994. It has the song "Only one I Love," on it, and I love that song. I can't find this CD, any where. Does any one have any idea where I could purchase this CD?
