Product Description

Size: Large | Color: Black/Silver

The Wiggles Wags & Whiskers patented Freedom No Pull Training Package has everything you need to train your dog to walk easily on a leash. Constructed of industrial strength nylon webbing with reinforced X-stitching, it provides you with the security of knowing this harness will stand up to daily use by even the strongest dogs.

The training package includes:

1. The Freedom No-Pull Harness -- the ultimate training tool, featuring a martingale loop on the back of the harness, to tighten slightly around your dog's chest and discourage pulling - and a connection in the front that allows you to redirect attention back to you.

2. A Coordinating Training Leash which can connect to the front and back of the harness simultaneously, or to the back of the harness and a collar at the same time, for additional control.

3. Training instruction brochure.

4. Fitting instructions and Warranty Information.

The harness has a contrasting loop (which can be seen in the photos) to make it easier to put on and take off.

Sizing information: Use a soft tape measure (tailor's tape measure) or a piece of string or ribbon, mark the measurement around the chest and then measure the string from the end. Chest and neck measurements and weight recommendation:

Great product- made very well and fits comfortably.

I've tried a series of other no-pull leashes and he still was able to pull me down the street so he could chase after the squirrel, neighborhood cat, etc.

Really gives you a lot of control when the dog starts pulling - without choking the dog.

I'm training a sweet young pit bull to walk on a leash. She wouldn't tolerate the Gentle Leader, which for me, is the gold standard for eliminating pulling and controlling your dog when she sees a squirrel/dog/insert-your-dog's-craziness-trigger-here. So I tried the Easy Walk (didn't fit right and chafing was a big problem) and now the Freedom Harness.

Pros: The Freedom harness is well-made and attractive. The velvet straps are not a luxury but necessary to avoid serious chafing. Once you get the hang of it, it's not hard to put on. The advantage of any harness over a collar is reducing stress and injury to the neck - this girl can pull so hard sometimes I thought she'd choke herself. And compared to a collar, the Freedom harness does increase my control when she lunges after a squirrel or other fascinating thing.

Cons: As far as I can tell, this harness simply does not significantly reduce pulling. When she's not trying to chase something, my dog can walk pretty well on a leash, so I just have to control her when she goes after an animal. Although I have more control with this harness than with a regular collar, it is still not easy to control her if she really goes after something. The level of control is NOTHING like the Gentle Leader, which can turn her head away from the trigger. And if she's in a pulling mood, this harness seems to do nothing to deter her.

Bottom line: If your dog has occasional pulling problems and can't tolerate the GL, I recommend the Freedom Harness over other "no-pull" harnesses. But for determined pullers, there's nothing like the GL If your dog can tolerate it.

As mentioned prior by my wife, Jessica, we bought the 1" Medium to fit our puppy who currently has a 16.5" Girth measurement. The posted measurements here on Amazon.com and on the [...] match; however, the product offerings are different. The new measurements are listed below:

5/8" width
XS (14 - 20")
S (18 - 24")
M (22 - 28")

1" width
M (22 - 28")
L (26 - 32")
XL (30 - 38")
XXL (36 - 44")

With these new measurements, the Large size worked best and gave us more room to grow then the already maxed out Medium 1". We have a Great Dane and will work all the way up to XXL I am sure. However, the non-updated measurement led me to believe it would have been to roomy to get the Large size. But with the new updated measurements, I hope everyone reading this will be able to make a better informed decision. Either my wife or I will report back with more review of the product once we have been able to use it. (I have only fitted it to our puppy thus far)

I have a Rhodesian RIdgeback/St. Bernard mix and weighs 115 lbs. I am a 60 year old female with MS. My dog would pull me so hard to chase the smell of squirrels that I would have to either let go of the leash or be drug across the ground. I was using a prong choke collar, which I didn't like to use, but I thought at the time was necessary for leash training. That type of collar didn't matter to him and there was always the fear of doing permanent damage to him. Your harness works great! I take him for walks and do not have to worry about him pulling or dragging me. Or the fear of him getting hit by a car because he sees a rabbit across the street. I have never written a review such as this about any product, and I thank you for making this type of harness

This harness has really helped my large Golden Retriever (90 lb.) not pull as much as he used to. It is very simple to put on and take off since it has two clips (one on each side). The only thing that's tricky is getting all the different adjustments right-- but I understand since not all dogs have the same measurements (length of chest vs. girth, etc.). It took me a few tries (and walks) to get the adjustments perfect. However, the adjustment around the chest, ended up with the metal adjustment loop directly under his left front leg (armpit area) in order to fit nice and snug, and it became sore due to the rubbing while walking-- so I had to finagle it until it stopped rubbing in that sensitive spot (and now it doesn't fit as snug as I'd like). Make sure you measure your dog, and if he/she is in-between sizes like my dog is, it may not be best to go a size up (because of the metal loop). Maybe you can call the manufacturer and ask which size would be best if your dog is in-between sizes?

Wags, Wiggles, and Whiskers is a great company. This is the second harness that we have bought from them for our Curly Coated Retriever. The first one our pup chewed through, but have no fear after a small wait and a nominal shipping fee they sent us back the first harness better than new and now we have two!!
This harness was recommended to us by our obedience school and I couldn't be happier!! I never thought we could convince our large breed puppy not to pull....this harness was the answer!

This harness was recommended to me by my cousin's wife who is a vet and uses it for their two dogs. It was easy to adjust in a few minutes to fit on my dog. The first walk i took him on i saw an immediate change in how he walks when on a leash. He does still pull if he sees a squirrel or other dog but given it is a harness he isn't pulling on his neck/throat. I have recommended it to friends who have also used this harness and seen changes in how their dogs pull on walks.
