5.0 out of 5 stars In memory of all
I believe that everyone should have this book. I am the best friend of Holly A. Charette and she was the first female marine to be killed in Iraq. she is from Rhode Island and is featured in this book. this book gives an inside to all who have fallen. If we can do something for our fallen we can at least buy this book. IN MEMORY OF ALL WHO HAVE FALLEN

3.0 out of 5 stars Faces of Freedom
This is awesome collection of photos and memories of soldiers fallen in Iraq and Afghanistan. Hometown hero, Daniel McClenney was one of the chosen ones displayed in the book. Very nice.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read!, July 13, 2007
This review is from: Faces of Freedom Profiles of America's Fallen Heroes: Iraq and Afghanistan (Hardcover)
I think its great to see real faces and hear real stories of the lives of fallen soldiers. It makes it all more real to those who don't live the war. (mothers, fathers, spouses, and children of soldiers live the war every day) I think every american should look at the faces in this book. These are the men and women who were fighting for your freedom so you don't have to think about it.

Rebecca Pepin has accomplished an amazing and honoring tribute to American Forces that have fought and died for freedom. This is a stellar tribute, honoring America's finest and bravest. It is on their shoulders that we have the freedoms we cherish.

5.0 out of 5 stars Faces of Freedom, September 13, 2007
This review is from: Faces of Freedom Profiles of America's Fallen Heroes: Iraq and Afghanistan (Hardcover)
A truly magnificently book containing profiles and photo's of 52 of America's fallen warriors that have paid the ultimate price for our freedom during the war on terrorism with proceeds from this book going to 2 outstanding charities. One very special 'brother' 1stLt Ryan McGlothlin USMC(VA) is profiled in this book. But I am honored to call each and every one of our Fallen Heroes a 'brother/sister'. I wholeheartedly recommend this MUST read book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Moving book, April 21, 2008

This review is from: Faces of Freedom Profiles of America's Fallen Heroes: Iraq and Afghanistan (Hardcover)
I wrote the Kentucky story for this book, but I'd like to commend Rebecca Pepin and the other writers who contributed. I love what this book does for the families of the military men and women whose stories are depicted inside, and my own personal experience was very enriching for me personally. "Getting to know" DeShon Otey through his family was one of the most moving experiences I've ever had. Rebecca has been tireless in making sure that this book was produced with the utmost integrity.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Faces of Freedom Profiles of America's Fallen Heroes: Iraq and Afghanistan (Hardcover)
I purchased this books for my husband for Christmas, it means a great deal to him concerning each and every soldier. The book is so well written and the fact that you are able to obtain an insight into each individual and their families makes a great impact. I only wish everyone in the country would take the time to read this, it is wonderful and should be required reading in the school systems.

This review is from: Faces of Freedom Profiles of America's Fallen Heroes: Iraq and Afghanistan (Hardcover)
This is a tell all book, of the lives of American heroes. It is very honest. It is a book you will have to put down from time to time just to stop your heart from breaking. You will feel sad and proud at the same time. It hurts and at the same time you feel your heart swell up with pride.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Tribute to Heroes, September 13, 2007
This review is from: Faces of Freedom Profiles of America's Fallen Heroes: Iraq and Afghanistan (Hardcover)
This book is a beautiful tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. When Rebecca Pepin became an American citizen a couple of years ago, she accepted the judge's challenge to "make a difference." Through her efforts and those of various writers from around the country, fifty-two heroes are profiled. These stories offer just a small sampling of the outstanding men and women who serve in our military. Sadly, our daughter's profile is included as the South Carolina entry. Both Rebecca and the writer, Chuck Walsh, have treated us and Kimberly's story with the utmost care, dignity and respect. Every home should have this book and pass it on for future generations so they will be aware of those before them who have given their lives to help preserve our way of life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Tribute to Our Heroes, September 13, 2007
This review is from: Faces of Freedom Profiles of America's Fallen Heroes: Iraq and Afghanistan (Hardcover)
This wonderfully crafted book profiles one fallen soldier from each of the states. This is truly a remarkable tribute to the brave men and women who paid the ultimate price for Our Freedom. The project is also a wonderful way to raise money for the injured soldiers returning home to resume their lives.
