"who is Harold Hough" ?,
By noncomply guy (pt) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Freedom Road (Paperback)
Simply, this man is a freethinking, freedom loving individual, that instead of just complaining how things are, has made Himself a viable lifestyle. Harold tells how He planned, worked and saved to acheive His goals. I enjoyed the book, and had read it several times at the libraries before making My purchase online. The book is an excellent introduction to a lifestyle, that is freer than probably 99% of the worlds citizens ,not bad I would say. This book can help acheive that, read it use it, and keep on moving .

I love this book. I love the author's description and message of freedom. Hough is as articulate and even keel writer and thinker.
Basically, this book is about getting out of debt and living in an RV. This book was written in 1991, so it should be updated. Hough talks about the pros and cons of different types of RVs and different locations to travel to. The author discusses staying healthy, eating cheap, finding casual work. If you are a freedom lover and you love to travel, you cannot miss this book.

Great book for living and eating cheap,
By Anne Miller (Thousand Oaks, California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Freedom Road (Paperback)
I read this book back in 1991, still have it on my shelf. It has a lot of great recipes in the back and a list of food stuff for cheap but healthy eating. If everyone in the country ate the way this guy does, everyone would be fantastically healthy and have thousands of dollars available for other things. There would be zero need for any government expenditures related to feeding people and almost no need for private charity in terms of feeding people. It's a very realistic book about RV living - an excellent cost/benefit analysis if you will. His lifestyle is not for everyone but I think just about every reader can benefit from his insights - and do borrow some of his recipes.

If you want a really good thorough book on living in an RV that'll be worth the money you invested in buying it, try 'Living Aboard Your RV' by Greone

Freedom Road,

This review is from: Freedom Road (Paperback)
This is a brief introduction to RV living as an alternative lifestyle. While certainly food for thought, the author could have offered a bit more conventional information for those not inclined toward paranoid viewpoints. Nonetheless, it does challenge the reader to think about RV living as an optional lifestyle.
