British, Irish? Who are these guys? Great is what they are...., February 3, 2007
Imagine the Clash meet the Pogues and you'll have a good idea of who Larrikin Love are. A London-based band with an Irish flavor, their songs are catchy and infectious, and the folk instrumentals, with fiddle and Irish drum and excellent guitar work, add a lot to the overall sound.
It's a shame that only import editions are available, so it's hard to recommend them at this price. If you can latch on to a cheaper used CD, I would recommend that. They are definitely worth a listen.
