As you get into this book, you think of those you will be able to help.
As you read on you realize that helping others starts with settling some matters in your own heart.
Reading on you come to recognize those nagging aches and thoughts were something that is coming from outside of a loving Father. "Our minds are amazingly adept at creating a plausible explanation for the 'reality' we perceive around us and in finding ways to cope with that world. The mind finds resolution for the heart's confusion." Then you realize - this book is for me first of all!
Great book!

Andy Reese does a wonderful job. In a very concise and readable fashion Andy lays out the model of Sozo Inner Healing, It is obvious from it's reading that Andy's background in engineering and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit are fully realized in this more than how-to book. I believe that Andy also reveals the heart of the Father.

Great book on inner healing and deliverance. We have been waiting for this. The books states the limitations of "first responder" healing and doesn't claim to be more than it is. I especially enjoyed the quotes at the beginning of each chapter.

After reading several books on the subject of overcoming life's tough problems, I've found Andy Reese's book to be the most beneficial as well as informative. He writes in a simplistic manner for anyone to understand and yet does not dumb down the message he is putting across. I found the book to be an easy read and very helpful. His insights and obvious expereince is related through the chapters without becoming boring or redundant.
For anyone who is in the ministry this book is a must own. And if you are in counselling it would be beneficial to have these simple and useful tools to help those who are struggling with issues that they can't seem to overcome. Through a very God lead process anyone can learn to help people find the freedom they've been longing and searching for. You don't have to be a trained and licenses counselor to use these tools to help set the captive free.
I found Andy's book very helpful even on a personal level in assisting me in my own journey to overcome life's difficult wounds and emotional hurts through simple step by step processes guided by conversation with God.
I will keep this book and use it like a life handbook.

The American church today is largely sitting around, trying to be good for God, waiting to enter His eternal Kingdom when we die. We are saved but not set free. Jesus paid the price for our freedom, not only freedom from an eternity separated from God, but freedom from bondage and affliction while we are still on this earth. Andy Reese has distilled the wisdom gained from countless sessions of Sozo ministry into "Freedom Tools", which provides a model that anyone can follow into freedom for themselves and for others

This book has been instrumental to assisting me in trying to address a deeply embedded heart issue that dates back to my childhood. It helped me understand my reactions to circumstances, grow sensitivity to what was going on inside my heart, and instead of spending energy to justify misunderstood reactions, I was able to seek the Lord to dig deeper into what was in my heart. I am closer to complete freedom day by day, and Freedom Tools has been very useful. Good for beginning Christians, too.

Loved this book - so practical and yet really connects to those places inside that have been buried under life. Simple steps but powerful. Read with an open heart and listen to what God is showing you. It WILL change your life.

Freedom Tools is a well written description of using Scriptural tools to help people with problems. This is not a book about amateur counseling. In fact, the author specifically mentions circumstances that may require professional counseling. It does offer assistance in providing answers for your friends, who, over coffee mention that they don't know why they had an outburst directed toward their beloved family member. For those who find themselves in the role of advisor, confidant, or just good friend, this book offers some basic Christian tools.

Freedom Tools is one of the most helpful tools I have come across in over 40 years of being a Christian. This is a manageable tool to get the job done. Thank You all for writing this. We are studying this with a group at the present time and are using the tools. THEY WORK!!!!

I read this following a class covering some of the methods for healing prayer included in the book. The author seemed to be combining various styles that a variety of people have developed to facilitate inner healing around issues of relating to God, tracing the wounds to particular events or areas in their lives. A background in some inner healing would be helpful in understanding the methods outlined. There is some assumption of prior knowledge in the material covered.
