Sometimes the path doesn't lead where you think......., July 4, 2000
This review is from: Freedom's Hope (The Reardon Brothers #2: Heart Quest Series) (Paperback)
The second book in The Reardon Brothers Series introduces you to Noah, a lawyer who has sworn off women. Then along comes Jessica and what can he do but save her from her father and take her back to her unknowing family in Baltimore.
Dianna Crawford does a great job of showing you the differences between frontier life and "high society" in the late 1700's through Jessica's eyes. You will love Noah's honor and his quest to bring Jessica happiness, and cheer when Jessica realizes where her heart truely lies. You will also look at salt with new appreciation!
I have enjoyed many of this author's books and this is a wonderful follow up to the first in the series, Freedom's Promise.

Reardon Brothers Trilogy-Book 2, November 18, 2005
This review is from: Freedom's Hope (The Reardon Brothers #2: Heart Quest Series) (Paperback)
Jessica Whitman lives for one hope: reaching her mother's family, the distinguished Hargraves of Baltimore, far from the clutches of her drunken father.
Noah Reardon, bitter over a broken betrothal, wants nothing to do with people. So why is he captivated by the intriguing Jessica? Despite himself, Noah reluctantly offers his protection to this feisty young woman as she undertakes the dangerous overmountain trek.
Together Noah and Jessica discover a shared passion for truth, for integrity, for the very ideals upon which their new nation was founded. Noah is tempted to make the biggest mistake of his life--giving his heart to a woman who doesn't share his faith. Then a shocking discovery about Jessica's family threatens to shatter her hope. As they struggle to understand God's plan, both Noah and Jessica learn who truly offers hope for each tomorrow.
