If it weren't for the DVD I might've regret buying this album. Why?

The CD soundtrack itself is quite eerie that tries to bring the atmosphere of 'space frontier' and its danger. Aside from the game itself, the music's atmosphere is awesome and captures the 'feel' of cold and harsh space adventures. My only regret is that:
1. The first tracks are simple 'travel' and 'tense' situation songs
2. The Planetary Suite that put dozens of 30-50 second music together in one long (and repeating) suite
3. All the songs can be found in the game data folder!

Well, apart the CD the Bonus DVD is more worth the money.
1. DVD contains alternative intro (with 4 seperate audio tracks); deleted intro scene (which explains what's going on before Freeport 7's destruction)
2. There's a complete script (as well an earlier draft) and behind the scenes information for those wanting to know how that game came into being
3. There are more song files that didn't made into the game. Notice the Liberty spaceflight song, it was used in the 2001 E3 trailer which is far better than the Liberty song in the game (CD track #1)

Freelancer is a space adventure game for the PC that was developed by Digital Anvil and released by Microsoft in March 2003. Six composers wrote the distinctive instrumental music for the game and the cutscenes which advance the storyline. Most of the inhabited planets in Freelancer have their own theme that plays when you land on them, and the soundtrack also includes themes for flying through space, battles and other events.

Fans of Freelancer will definitely want to have the bonus DVD that comes with this CD. The DVD includes a "making of" feature and some cinematic scenes not included in the game, as well as galleries of concept art. My DVD player could not read this disk, but I can play it on my computer DVD drive.
