Product Description

In 1999 when French designers started the brand Freelook in Paris, their goal was to fill the void between luxury and fashion watches. The watches were sold at Galleries La Fayette (“The” department store in Paris). Influenced by the Paris runways and its fashionable environment, Freelook quickly became a favorite of many magazine editors and was and still is sported by celebrities and featured in several magazine editorials monthly. In 2003 Freelook was launched internationally at the Basel watch fair (the largest and most prestigious watch fair in the world) and was awarded the “prix d’excellence” by the AJA. In 2004 the company launched stateside selling to high-end retailers such as Fred Segal in Los Angeles, Henri Bendel in New York City and Jennifer Miller in the Hamptons.

This is my second Freelook watch and I really like it; it's a good looking watch. In reference to the picture on here, the band is much darker than the photo as it's supposed to be a rose gold look so expect it to have a little more of a red-orange tint (I think the picture looks closer to yellow gold). The face is also more silver than pure white. It's a somewhat thick watch with decent weight, that I like for everyday wear. The thing I like about Freelook is their pieces tend to be minimalist in design that make them look fancier than their price would indicate. The band is smaller than a typical men's watch (guess because it's unisex); on a typical men's watch I need to remove 2 links, this watch only 1 for a decent snug fit (or none for a loose fit). Those who have larger wrists may want to stay away from this brand.

On the price front, I thought the watch was a very good deal at the price. Everything about it looks and feels like something of decent to good quality (band, crystal, etc) so I had to jump on the offering. Disclaimer, I bought this from Amazon when the watch was less than $50 and the prices on here for watches fluctuate at times. If it's still less than $50... go for it! It's a nice looking watch that doesn't look like a $50 piece. I may buy a few more.

OMG! This is a beautiful watch. This watch is even better in person, however, it is reeaallly big, too big, the face I mean. Also too thick for me. It looked very silly on me. So sad, had to return it. Freelook watches have great style. Guess I just have to keep looking.

The watch is great BUT it stopped working just after two months. Now I am attempting to see if replacing the battery will fix the issue. THIS is ridiculous!!!! The battery of an expensive watch like this one should not die within 2 months of use.
