I used this nailer to install over 700 square feet of 1/2" engineered hardwood floor. It took over 3,500 18 gauge staples and not a single misfire, jam, or problem. Save yourself a hundred dollars over the more expensive products that accomplish no more than this one. It has a 7 year warranty. I called the Freeman company before purchasing. They seemed like good folks and are located in Georgia. Buy with confidence, it's a good product and I'm very happy to have saved some money and still get my project done with zero problems.

This thing is a workhorse. Instructions are clear and simple and it works beautifully. After a lot of searching, I finally settled on this nailer to put down our 3/8" bamboo flooring. I'm using Porter Cable 1 1/4" 18-Gage nails with a Porter Cable compressor set at 90-95 psi with ZERO issues. No split/cracked tongues and no jams.
After visiting my local Home Depot and learning it would be $40 a day to rent an 18-20 gage nailer, buying this one was a no-brainer.

I've been doing flooring for 12 years. and this tool works great. Almost using it every day, it lasts and is pretty much the easiest floor runner to work with. the only thing is that you have to keep it clean. keeping the loader clean will prevent misfire and jamming. I let my first ones build up and ended buying 2 more to replace the old ones. Once I cleaned the old ones from the build up, they worked like new again. I didn't need to buy the new ones after all! Anyways, they work great, and is definitely the best floor runner on the market...knowingly I've used ALOT of other brands.

This is my second Freeman air tool. Works just as good as my other Freeman flooring nailer. Took some time to figure out the adjustable head. The key was the adjustment knob for the safety. Once I figured that out and set the height, the tool worked flawlessly. Also, be aware of the length of staple you use in relation to the thickness of the flooring. If the staple is too long the gun wont be able to drive the staple through the flooring and sub-floor. Great quality for the price you pay!

I bought this tool for a couple of reasons, it is slanted for instaling flooring with staples and it can be switched over to a regular nailer for other carpentry work using straight 18 ga. brads. Changing the nailing base can be a little tricky. You have to be patient. You have to undo a spring clip, then pull an itsy-bitsy rubber o=ring about the size of a pin head in order to pull the shaft that releases the nailing shoe. You have to pay attention that you don't drop or misplace that little o-ring. When you start to install the alternate nailing base, you have to align sliding bar with the attachment pin. It me a few minutes to make the switchover from floor base to brad base. Once hooked in to my air compressor, the tool worked like a charm. It never misfired and drove the staple through 3/8 inch bamboo flooring. Once that staple is driven, it holds really well. Just as a test, I tried to remove a driven staple and it was really difficult, even with my crowbar.

Put down 400 sqft of flooring. A few misfires so you have to make sure your shooting staple. Not one jam though, heavy weight stapler, great value. Best part is I could use any off the shelf 18g staple and could get longer staples than the 1" ones only offered with 20g. Im glad I went 18g instead of 20 a lot more meat and holding power as I did buy a 20g also to try. I was very concerned that the 18g would split the tongue but was never an issue. Very few home stores carry 20g staples and its a pain to order more in the middle of a project, even for a prime member! :)
I hate cheap tools and will spend 100's more to go name brand to get the quality Im after. You get what you pay for but this tool was worth the money.

I used this with porter cable air compressor set at 90 lbs . i will see i have about 400 more square feet of flooring to go I would highly reccomend this nail gun . not a problem when the proper size nails are used.

I installed over 2000 sq. feet of 1/2 engineered oak flooring and it worked perfect a few misfires due to hitting a screw or nail in the sub floor. It works well with or with out the guide it tight spots.I also own a bostich nailer and no difference. For the ones complaining are probably not using it right.
