A Concise Uncovering of Evil, September 15, 2004
This review is from: Freemasonry - Mankind's Hidden Enemy: With Current Official Catholic Statements (Paperback)
"Freemasonry: Mankind's Hidden Enemy" by Bro. Charles Madden, OFM Conv. is the best small book on the topic I've read.
The author is a humble Franciscan friar who simply tells it like it is when it comes to exposing the anti-Christian religion of Freemasonry and its principal goal of trying to destroy the Catholic Church.
In this book I learned about the official (and still current) Catholic stance against the religion of Freemasonry. Madden cites official references to show how one cannot be a Catholic and a Mason as they are two different religions with irreconcilable differences.
In this book I also learned about Saint Maximilian Kolbe who founded the Militia Immaculata to prayerfully convert souls, especially Freemasons (see www.consecration.com).
After reading Madden's book I now see clearly why my late grandfather, a Baptist minister, renounced his Masonic membership due to his Christian beliefs and convictions.
I would highly recommend this book to any Christian who is interested in learning about Freemasonry, especially Catholic Christians. I'd also recommend a more detailed book as a good follow up by the title "Christianity and American Freemasonry" by William Whalen (Ignatius Press).
God bless Brother Charles Madden for having the courage to write this little book to remind all Christians that Freemasonry is still "Mankind's Hidden Enemy"!

The book is interesting, but on an entertainment level., May 5, 2006
This review is from: Freemasonry - Mankind's Hidden Enemy: With Current Official Catholic Statements (Paperback)
There are things you can believe and cannot believe. I thought this book would tell me more about the masons. I got interested in reading about them after finding out my grandfather was a mason. Unfortunately this book is not the best source for that information. There are to many far fetched accusations that do not add up, and worst of all, are not backed up. If you are to make such claims you have to reference where this is coming from. Could have been better but I suppose they wanted more of an edgy cloak -N- dagger feel to it.
Eric Borgmans review is ranked right up there with the book in terms of researched knowledge. I dont think its necessary to say those kind of things, and I would not be surprised if his review is removed, because it is way outside of the Am. Guidelines!!

What people do not like to say (in public) about Masonry..., May 10, 2006
This review is from: Freemasonry - Mankind's Hidden Enemy: With Current Official Catholic Statements (Paperback)
...this author describes what they are really about and why they are excommunicated by the Catholic Church; hence, why you cannot be both masonic and catholic or even christian.
Explains why they are not the people they seem to be, even with all the "charity" work they do.
