This is a decent looking watch that works well. I've used it while surfing 67 times during the past three months and it still looks brand new. Read the manual to extend the life of the seals i.e. the seals don't like extremely temps such as in hot tubs. Consumers need to be aware that all the digital features require decent light to be seen. For example, if I need the date, I find myself having to really stare at the watch in order to be able to see it. The watch has a cool looking blue night light but once it is turned on, it will turn off as soon as I hit another button. So, setting an alarm at night is cumbersome as a result because I need to turn on the light and then each time I scroll thought the modes, I need to turn the light back on. Imagine this...light button, mode button, light button, alarm button, light button, set button, light button and so on. Expect a slightly thicker body (watch casing).

well, hopefully most people won't find the watch to be as bad as I did. But, out of the box, the analog clock wasn't working, we found it impossible to set the digital clock, the instructions were hidden and took us a long time to find, and... Well, anyway, there are cheaper, better-made, easier-to-use watches out there from world-famous companies (which tells you how overpriced this one is!) I'd rate it a zero star item, but I can't. Also, while it claims to be a sports watch, the fine print says its rating (100 meters) is only suitable for washing one's hands without taking it off. They won't even commit to wading pools (the next level on their chart). I got this as a gift and my friend is so embarrassed at how well it doesn't work that she's not talking to me right now. Wait, did I mention the stem fell off while I was trying to set the time? On second thought, give it a negative rating.

Bought this watch primarily to take to the beach as opposed to beating up my better watches. I have had this watch for well over a year of regular use in salt water with no issues.

The analog face on this watch is easy enough to read, but as others have stated the digital readout is difficult to read if not impossible in direct sunlight. To read it in bright sunlight you will have to cup your had over the watch. Several commentators have remarked on the short period of time the back light stays on. This has not been much of a problem for me because I only use the back light to check the time.

This is a great looking sports watch. I wanted a sports watch with analog hands, and digital features like a daily alarm. This has it all. It can go underwater to about 300 feet. It has a rotating bezel so you can easily track your time. The backlight is bright enough to read it, but dim enough so it won't ruin your night vision. It feels really solid and mineral dial is very clear. I would have given 5 stars, but the countdown timer sucks: it only works in increments such as 1, 5, 10, 15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes; you can't use this watch to run 30 second sprints, or cook a perfect steak.

I bought this watch for a deployment to Iraq. The watch itself is pretty decent, easy to read at night, and it still looks new despite being exposed to severe environmental conditions including high humidity, dust storms, daily 120 degree temps, and the abuse one could expect from a soldier's watch. Unfortunately the band does not hold up as well as the watch itself, it fell apart within the year; the area around the pin disintegrated. It will cost about 20 bucks to replace it. I am spending the money, because I like the watch. It takes some doing to replace it, I couldn't get it done in theater by the army exchange system, and it took an internet search here at home to finally get it done, the band isn't available at local repair shops or freestyle dealers, and it is specific to the watch.

After reading the negative reviews about this watch I was a liitle concerned. I had a shark watch when I was younger that I loved so I figured I would bit the built. It's really nice and I have got a few positive comments on it so far. The dial is easy to read for me. The only complaint that I have is that its hard to get the time in sync with both the dial and digital. Other than that I love it.

I bought this as a knockaround watch so I wouldn't keep scratching up my good watches.

Package arrived on time with no issues - now for the good (or bad) part.

The watch itself is a little thicker than I expected. There were no instructions in the package on how to set anything. That didn't really matter, though, as the LCD is unreadable - even in bright sunlight! The background light up function is useless as well.

This is going back today. My advice is to stay away from this model - there are $20 watches that are much better than this.

This watch is a great for outdoorsy types that like a little style added to function. I have had this watch for about a month now, and not a single major complaint. The watch is nice and weighty, and feels like a much more expensive watch based on product build and features. I love the multi-function abilities that this watch carries. I personally love the traditional analog type watches, but needed a watch that had a timer and an alarm. This watch serves both purposes exceptionally. My minor gripe would be that the back-light to the digital part of the watch doesnt stay on very long.

All in all, this watch is a great bang for your buck deal. Its affordable, very stylish, and has numerous features. What more could you ask for in a watch?

This is one of the best looking watches I've found and most definitely for the price. It has the weight and feel of a watch that costs much more. That said, I had no idea how difficult it would be to read the digital functions as a result of the black background and obstructing hands that constantly cover over the digital readout. Also, the watch beeps with every push-of-a-button and the light feature cannot stay on when you want to toggle between different functions. If you're in search of an analog watch, than this is great. But if you actually use the alarm, timer, and date on a daily basis, I'd consider going with something else.

I really like the look of this watch but it did not survive its only boat trip. I wore the watch wakeboarding (which I have done with my old watch for 5 years with no problems) and water got into the case. This caused the watch to stop working and to randomly chime/alarm. I give it 2 stars because I did like the watch before in stopped working.
