5.0 out of 5 stars This was a present
This watch was a present for a friend who had just gotten his Captains' License. He loved it! I know that he likes the function that tells the tide because he fishes a lot in the Hilton Head area of SC and it helps him keep up with what's going on. According to the receiver, this gift was a 10 out of 10

Liked the watch when it was new. It was stylish and functioned well. It is a bit difficult to read in sunlight and the buttons would get accidentally pushed but it has quite a few useful functions including the tide. I have had this watch for a year and a half now. 1.0 out of 5 stars this band will break guaranteed, April 7, 2011
By

the watch does a good job of telling the tide (except for my home break--big bummer).

i like the big time function. a lot of tide watches out there got so much going on in the display it's hard to read the numbers.

not very stylish---but that's a personal opinion.

MAIN COMPLAINT.... the watch band fell apart after a month. this was not a fluke as every freestyle tide watch i have owned (about six or seven, 4 shark tide and two 3.0 tide watches) has had band problems. if a freestyle band lasts you a year count yourself lucky. once the band breaks the watch is finished. you can only get replacements from freestyle and they charge for everything and they are impossible to put on usually resulting in breaking the replacement as well. this happened to me when i took it to the watch repair man---they couldn't even do it.

if freestyle can't figure out how to make a watch band at least they could make it somewhat generic and easy to replace. i kept buying these because the tide function actually worked better and was easier to use than every other tide watch i have tried (several). but i have had it with freestyle. no more. what good is a watch if you can't wear it? my free tide booklet from the surfshop is more durable than the crappy watch bands.

Liked the watch when it was new. It was stylish and functioned well. It is a bit difficult to read in sunlight and the buttons would get accidentally pushed but it has quite a few useful functions including the tide. I have had this watch for a year and a half now. The band is deteriorating and falling apart. It's too bad i'm unable to replace it since the band is not replaceable. The face of the watch scratches easily and mine shows that. The plastic panels covering the buttons tend to peel off. All in all I like the watch new, but I don't believe this watch is worth the cost considering it's lack of durability. I could buy a $20 timex that wears better than this watch.

2.0 out of 5 stars Had to return twice, July 11, 2011
I first bought this watch for it's style and the fact that it's a tide watch. However, after 2 issues I called it quits. When I first exchanged it, I returned it because the buttons were coming off. The second watch I got had water condense on the inside part of the glass. You could still read the screen but it was annoying. After the condensation melted you get water spots on the inside. I loved the look, the watch was easy to use and functional but after 2 issues I decided to return the second watch for a full refund.

3.0 out of 5 stars What I needed., August 4, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a sharp looking watch, which I brought for the Tide setup, exactly what I needed. But the downside is that the screen scatches really easy, not what you want from an active watch.

3.0 out of 5 stars How can this watch cost more than $2 to make?, December 3, 2009

Watch does what it supposed to do but the build quality just isn't great. My main button fell off 3 months after purchase. Don't buy the white as it soon fades to yellow (yuck). Not sure if it was from the Ocean or the pool but it's a tide watch and should hold up against these tests.

Overall hard to justify this for the price, it feel like a $10 watch.
