Superb,

I really need a beeper/pager attached to this thing because I've lost the first one I bought. I'm ordering another one, it's that good. It was very accurate. It picked up my jogging steps, walking steps but did not count just general jiggling. It was intuitive and easy to use. For a small machine it told a large amount of information- number of steps, time, time walked, distance walked. Well worth the money.

Simple and accurate pedometer,

I am very pleased with this pedometer. Once programmed (easily), it quite accurately gives a reading of miles, time, calories (a little overestimated, but OK), and steps walked. I'm a personal trainer and I gave one to all my clients for the holidays.

The clip that holds the pedometer to my waist is integral with the black plastic case. When I put it on my belt (average thickness) it looked like it was about to snap so I ended up putting it on the upper part of my jeans on my left side. I wish the clip was spring metal instead so I would not have to worry about it snapping.
I wore it for 4 days and recorded my steps (8123, 4500, 5400). I thought this was giving me a good idea of what I was doing and would provide a goal to shoot for (e.g., 10,000 steps). My daughter wanted to try it for a day and she gave it back to me saying it wasn't very accurate. I put it on my waist and walked around the house counting my steps. Sure enough the number of paces I counted was 20-50% more than was being recorded by the pedometer. I wore the pedometer for a couple more days and lost it. I think it was too loose clipped to my jeans and maybe my coats waistband just knocked it off as I moved. I am 5' 11" and 195 lbs. and am pretty aware of my surroundings. Wish I had it for longer to give a better review. Next time I'll look for a pedometer with a metal clip.

It worked poorly from the start. And lasted about a month before giving up the ghost completely. What a waste of money!

Disappointed,

I was very excited to get this pedometer. It looks good and reviews were not too bad.
Now that I have gotten this pedometer, I am finally able to leave my honest review. If you have to change the battery, grow claws in order to open up the back. To view your distance walked/calories burned, etc. That's another challenge. These are terrible design flaws. the item is NOT that cheap. I am honestly very disappointed. ...the jury is still out on how well it functions. |
