More About the Author

Saga Berg was born in Sweden during the snow storm of 1979 and knew already at the age of seven that she wanted to become a writer. She studied English and Communication at the University of Malmö, then took her Bachelor in Marketing- and Communications at the same University.

After working a few years as a Marketing Manager, Saga Berg started writing the novella series Nordic Fairies, her first published story. The Nordic Fairies series is a low fantasy novella series with a new concept of fairies and introduces Nordic light and dark fairies, Liosálfar and Döckálfar fighting for balance in a contemporary world. The series has been very well received by readers in all ages with high ratings and amazing reviews on Goodreads, Amazon and Barnes & Nobel.

Five parts of the series is currently published, Nordic Fairies (Nordic Fairies, #1), and Freja (Nordic Fairies, #2), Döckálfar (Nordic Fairies, #3), Daughters (Nordic Fairies, #4) and Missing (Nordic Fairies, #5). So far, a total of six parts are planned in the Nordic Fairies series.

I found myself very curious about the story of Svala and Viggo. I received a copy of this story from a contest so I will be posting an honest review. This is a novella amongst a few of them that follow. Svala is a Liosalfar born mortal as well as Viggo. The High Council pulls them from the life they live and brings them back to the age of 14 years old each time they are pulled. This story gives an introduction to the daughter they have.

It's way too short. For the price, I expected a full length book. My fault for not looking at the description better. As much as I really want to read the rest of the books in the series, I'm not willing to pay what is being asked for them. Although I would buy a box set if it was available. Depending on the price, that is.

Freja by Saga Berg is the great sequel to Nordic Fairies, which I read and reviewed back in May 2011. I also gave this one, just like Nordic Fairies, five stars. I couldn't give it any less. It was really good and once again a fast read. I love this amazing twist on fairies. I love them!

The story continues four months later where Nordic Fairies left off. It's pretty much all about how Svala and Viggo lost Freja, their daughter; yep, they had a daughter! *gasp* It shocked me. I hadn't expected this but I love it, even though it's very sad that they lost her. Awesome twist though. In the mean time Svala is trying to figure out what's going on between Viggo and Amanda Jones, since Viggo is apparently dating her. I'm wondering what exactly he is up to!

My favorite thing about these books are the memories Svala recalls and how she and Viggo have been struggling for so long. So I do hope in the end they can be together without they can be ripped apart for so long again. My heart aches for them.
I love Svala as a main character. She's not whiny or annoying, which is always a plus with characters and she's seems very loving and real even with everything she had to go true.

I was both happy and puzzled with the end where Alrik suddenl showed up. From Svala memeries I've read about him and instantly liked him. I'm wondering why he's there now and if he really will tell Svala the truth.
In the first book I had been wondering about Trym and how he seemed a little off to me. Now I didn't have that feeling so I'm intruiged to read more.

This book was 40 something pages so a really fast story that you can read in record time. In total I think there will be five parts so I'm sure we haven't seen the last of everything yet. I'm really glad for it. Now I just have to get the third book really soon. I'm so excited to continue!

Throw away Twilight ladies and gentlemen, burn your copy of The Hunger Games, and prepare to read the best part in the Nordic Fairies series so far. One of the reviewers stated the price was to much. Obviously they don't understand how self publications work. Enough about that. If you're looking for the next big writer look no further than Saga Berg. She KNOWS how to write a compelling love story that takes the best of both Twilight and The Hunger Games. With lovable characters and the perfect amount of drama this series soar. The only frustrating thing is having to wait for the third installment.

Final Thoughts:
BUY THIS BOOK!

This is the shortest book that I have ever bought. It was only$1.49. The 'book' only left more questions to be answered. In my opinion, it was not worth it. If there was more meat to the book, instead of just repeated phrases from the beginning of the series, it might be worth it. It could be a lot better if an effort was made. Don't waste your time. It is more like a merry go round. Without the thrill.
