Excellent book for those who have had minimal formal French. I highly recommend purchasing the version with the audio cassette.

I think this book would be good if you already knew some previous Frech but can be a little confusing at times.

As anyone knows who has undertaken learning a foreign language, finding a well-structured book is essential. This book is an indispensable part of my library of French learning aids. I was introduced to it by my private instructor. She is a French-language instructor at the UN in Geneva. This book provides a basis for much of her teaching, and convinced me to buy a copy for myself.
