Kate Ryan delivers a refreshing new sound to dance music culture. Her album "FRENCH CONNECTION" is entirely in French which is AWESOME! Many of her previous album releases have one or two French songs with the rest in English. She sings beautifully in French...in English it is ok. I feel that when an artist has to sing in another language just so the culture will buy the cd is terrible. Her talent is evident in this major release.

Was delighted to here yet again do another French Hit remake with Babacar. Don't be fooled that she is only a remake Queen. Her original material on this and other releases is top-notch. Now if she will remake Jakie Quartz "A La Vie, A l'amour", I would be super happy. Great collection. If you like Eurodisco. Get this!!

I love Kate Ryan. It's a shame that she is not as well know in the US as she is in Europe and Canada. This CD is fabulous. My French is limited but I still enjoy it. If Kate Ryan records it, I will buy it.

I am giving this collection five stars for what is on it as it is a very good collection of Kate's songs and a good way to get a lot of them at one time, but I am disappointed that Je Lance Un Appel was not included, lucky it is available through Amazon's music download. If you like Euro dance then you'll enjoy this CD.

"French..." is a concept album, which includes only french songs. Some of them had been released earlier, some recorded especially for this cd.
Kate is famous for her covers and she doesn't disappoint us here. We get such classics as "Voyage, voyage", "Evidemment" or "Babacar" in brand new versions. Among them shine already known singles as "Libertine" and "La promesse".
This is a cd to dance and it works perfectly on a dancefloor.
There are 3 extra mixes available here. In case of "Desenchantee" (new version) we received a mix much better than the original. It was played during her concerts last year too.

I have only one regret about this cd. Lack of french version of "Je t'adore", her Eurovision offering. It is really a gem in her dancing queen tiara and what is more important it is her own song.

Ryan delivers an awesome CD compilation of old French revivals plus new songs. "Free" was a great CD and this is even better! Do not miss "Las Divas Du Dancing", my favorite aside from "Voyage, Voyage" that was a huge hit in Europe and Latin America in the 80's and then its 90's version. I'm a HUGE Kate Ryan fan. I have all of her previous albums, but this is really just a bunch of remakes of songs from her previous albums. There are like 4 or 5 new songs, but nothing worth buying this album for. I would just download the few songs you like (or are missing the French Versions of) and save your money for when her next "real" album comes out.
