This book repeats a lot of what is in French Experience 1 but with a little more detail. I found both books are really for those who want to travel and live for a short time in France but does not give the depth of grammar I was hoping to find. Grammar is certainly not the strong part of this book. The CDs are useful and ensure growth of your understanding of the language. However, they really need to change the introduction music they use as it becomes very annoying at times. I am using it for self study and it is adequate for this purpose but I find that I need to use other texts to understand the depth of grammar. I do recommend it when I compare it to other books of similar types out there.
