I had the honor of visiting this incredible estate on the outskirts of Washington DC while still a very young woman. I was dazzled by the collection of one of the wealthest women in the world in the 40's and 50's. Little did I know how it would influence my life...my travels and my choices of collecting globally. French furniture and decorative objects now decorate my plantation which is named...you quessed....Hillwood Plantation.
