This review is from: Optical Frequency-Modulated Continuous-Wave (FMCW) Interferometry (Springer Series in Optical Sciences) (Paperback)
Not much in this book. It's only about 200 pages long, despite being printed in rather large type. Most of it consists of extremely basic introductory material, which obviously just serves as filler. For example, the book spends a page talking about the process of splicing optical fibers, which is both completely irrelevant and covered only superficially. There is an entire chapter on laser diodes, which, again, are covered on a level appropriate for an undergraduate survey course. The actual non-filler content in this book consists of the contents of two papers written by the author, and takes up less than 10 pages. In short, this book is a waste of time and money.
