Editorial Reviews

Bill Meredith: The Palm Beach Post TGIF Music

Trappen's voice has always been his strong suit, but he shows surprising lead guitar skills in the uptempo opener, Roll the Dice.

Product Description

Vocalist/guitarist Peter Trappen has led the area retro act the White Owls since the 1980s, with the conceptual 1960s rock band featuring a who's who in Palm Beach County musicians. So Trappen has applied all he's learned musically and conceptually to his new thematic solo CD, Frequent Sea, proving that the concept album didn't end with the 1970s work of The Who, Jethro Tull and Pink Floyd.

I've been a listener of peter trappen for years. Absolutely one our best songwriters. Frequent Sea rarely leaves my player. "Fireman" is one of the best works EVER. Other "must listens" are "Tomorrow Seems So Long" and a song I can't stop playing "Anywhere You Stay". I can't wait to hear his next offering!

5.0 out of 5 stars ... brings to mind Dire Straights or The Police., November 16, 2001

Reviewer: Geoff Livingston - Beach Beats
What he has done is given an insight to an imaginary couple, their lives together, and the paths they follow. Sometimes life does imitate art and the stories we concoct have some reflection of ourselves in them. We create from what we know, our own lives and how we live them. This ensemble of songs could easily be the soundtrack for theatre, with each song setting the mood for the next.
